I also like using jojoba oil (which is lighter than olive oil). It's a little more expensive than olive oil, so I alternate the two to stretch the jojoba. Since I have oily skin, I prefer leaving jojoba on my face. On my body, I'll use olive oil. There's no noticeable scent to me. One little tip to protect the delicate eye area even more is to let the oil sit for about 30 seconds to break down the makeup and do its magic, then remove with a cotton pad - you'll find you won't have to rub as much
Someone probably told you already but olive is a great sunscreen under your makeup. My son has eczema and I can use regular sunscreen so I use olive oil and it works great for his skin and his skin is improving bc I use it now all over his body.
Loving your videos on natural skin care. Just bought myself a big body brush from the Body Shop yesterday and can't wait to try it this morning. Thanks your videos - love that you're making more of them again.
Jojoba oil is another oil worth trying, Liz! Jojoba is the oil closest to our natural sebum, so it's just as good to use as olive oil, if not better :)
I also have a high forehead..yours looks fine though..I have used Olive oil on my face many times and LOVE it..have not tried the brushing like you did..will do that next..I also use coconut oil at times to remove my makeup and it works great too..great as a hair conditioner also..thanks for your tips
Oh i do it the same way as you do Liz,and for me also no breakouts...just a clean and smooth face. I bless mother nature for giving us so many good things in life. :) I've been told that if you use just a little bit olive oil on your lashes (roots) that they will grow and stay healthy, that counts also for the eyebrows. I'm trying that now. Love from the Netherlands. xxx
i love natural solutions to skin care...and usually they end up being a lot cheaper than spending money of makeup remover, wipes, etc. I also heard one of the best skin toners is witchhazel, and its extremely cheap.
Avocado is great for salad and a facial mask too! I just add lemon (for my oily skin) and mixed together. And it gives me younger and firmer skin. It also helps cleared my acne and scars. The seed of an avocado back in history was known as a seed of youth. If you're able to extract an oil from avocado seed and put it on face you will look young forever. If you want, add olive oil for healthy nourishing hair mask. Just a little bit of information. Thank you again liz! You are one my inspiration.
hi Liz, I'm so happy to see this video because personally i love to use natural/organic products and they are amazing! Olive oil is great for face and hair. Aside from this, I am also using natural yogurt as my facial mask (I prefer non fat yogurt since I have oily skin) I feel hydrated, moisturized, my pores tighten and lessen the redness, acne scars on my face. Thank you for inspiring us liz! TC always :))
Honestly, I don't think you have a large forehead. Your skin and smile is exceptionally beautiful and you look very good with your hair pulled back. :)
We have the same Forhead! recently I spoked with and Italian Famous woman (i'm a giournalist) and we descovered about mine and her forehead and she told me: you have to be proud of it. Some people very famous mostly woman use to do it with intention. By the way, as you I learn to love it. Now I'm be able to use a ponytale without fringe. Be proud of your forhead!
You are so funny with your forehead comment, I have a smaller forehead and always thought that girls with bigger foreheads were more attractive...hahaha, we are so funny!
olive oil is great for hair too! i use it like a hair mask every week, and my mum used to massage it in me and my sisters scalp while we were younger to encourage hair growth! and now our hair is so thick its crazy!
hey liz!i would suggest using oatmeal as ur cleanser and gently rubbing it all over ur face after removing the make up with olive oil:) try it..it amazing!
This was a great video. I have also read that You can use sweet almond oil and coconut oil to remove makeup just like olive oil. I love how you are not afraid to be on camera with no makeup on. Your skin is amazingly glowing and gorgeous! You are beautiful even without makeup. xoxoxo
@LaurenDayMakeup Yeah, I think basically any oil would remove makeup, coconut oil would be another great option! I LOVE you, Lauren - your comments always make me smile! (: xx
Liz, you are so hilarious,! But I have good news for you. I also have a giant forhead that I disguise with various hair styles, and an anthropologist friend of mine told me that a large forhead is indicative of high intelligence! So, woo hoo, we be smart, lol. Also, I have really, really oily skin. Are you sure the olive oil won't make it worse??
Yikes don't use Kleenex around your eyes that's so harsh around our delicate eye area ... Love the olive oil concept all for that... But try warm towel the warm steamed towel well remove more quickly and gently ... Love ur vids ;)
I've used olive oil for the past year, it works great & is cheaper than buying the more expensive oil cleansers! I've also heard of using jojoba oil to remove makeup but haven't tried that myself yet..
Great idea I love it. I will have to give it a try. Also, putting olive oil in your hair couple times a week helps your hair a lot. Another great trick for your hair 1-3 drops of clove oil mixed with 1 TBS coconut oil. massage mixture into hair and scalp. Leave on 20-30 minutes then shampoo and condition. I am going to do a video on this soon. It's amazing you will love it
Love the tip, thanks. One thing that I have problem with is my lips, it has this horrible skin growning over it when I am sleeping (probably cos I breath thru my mouth). I use sugar and olive oil to remove it and it comes out nice and exfoliated and plump. I also find that I don't need to do it everyday now. So yeah, more things to use my olive oil for!
@HillbillyKate You can pre-soak some cotton pads in some olive oil and carry it with you, rolled up in a little container! I just wouldn't use a ziplock because the oil can break down plastics and then you might get leakage...that, and more plastic=sad planet ;-)
I hear you. I don`t like big forehead either, especially for women. But no worries your face is pretty even with your hair puled back:) It`s not weird, it`s in a good proportion with your face, in my opinion.
I always use vaseline, but it never occurred to me--olive oil is essentially the same, maybe even better because it's liquid so it will set in the make-up better. This was a wonderful tip :) Anything I can do to put less chemicals on my skin! Thanks for sharing. P.S: Most models have big foreheads!! I think it's a gorgeous trait!
i use coconut oil to remove my eye makeup and it work better than anything on the market - i dont use it no my entire face just cos i dont like the feel of oil on my skin
XD ...haha i have a big forehead myself..and a fringe.. but i don't mind. They say that its a sign of majesty and intelligence ;) look at all the egyptian queens, they had huge foreheads too..love your vids sweety! Hugs from Denmark!
o my gosh im so excited u posted this! i didnt know what to use because i didnt want to use icky cold cream anymore, im going to buy olive oil today! :)
You are sooo stunning without make-up! This is amazing -- I also sometimes use olive oil to take off my make-up and I have oily skin but it does not break me out at all! Omg, when Goldie chirped Albi almost jumped out of his skin, hahaha!! So funny! <3 xoxo
@TheStyleDiet You are too kind to me, Anna!! Right back at you!! :D I had NO idea olive oil would remove makeup!! o.o So excited!! Aha!! I had fun filming this with Goldie & Dolça!! Give your little ones kisses from me! xx
Forgot to mention I use it on my kids for dry lips, sounds silly but wow it makes them so smooth, when I go to the chiropractor the office manager always makes comments about my kids lips;))
I always thought I was the only one who did that!! I'm so glad i'm not the only one. I've been recently using organic coconut oil---because its a solid at room temperature its a little less messy to use. (But the moment it touches your skin it melts right in!)
I'm trying to go natural recently cause my skin have been acting very bad !! So definately gonna try this (olive oil & brush & water to clean the face) can't wait to see how my skin will react to this!! And girl your forehead is just fine I mean you didn't see mine hhh !!! xoxo
