i read th comments with interest...i also have read the the uk oil reserves equals to 90 percent of the coast of scotland...i fully believe as a welshman that all nations have the right to govern themselves and with these oil reserves i am sure scotland will be fine.....if they gain control of there rightful oil reserves which equals 40 years...once this runs out im sure they will be leading the way in wind power ect....but i can sure understand Westminster making things difficult for continued

I think that the romantic idea of Scottish independence will one day come true; but it will be when the whole of the EU is divided up into what the Euro-bureaucrats call "regions". Scotland, Wales, N Ireland, 9 regions of England, Eire etc.

I'd be surprised if some version of the Lisbon Treaty wasn't passed 2009/10.

Scotland & England are not one country & never were, they are two countries living under a treaty.

Being Pro-independence doesn't mean you have to be anti anything. It's a positive message. You don't need to be anti independence just because you don't like certain people who support it and if you're not Scottish then why does it make you angry? There are lots of reasons why people support independence, personal and otherwise. You can disagree on many issues and still find yourself facing in the same direction. That's the point.
