  • I hope it flies Dallas to Brisbane forever, it beats going to LA and risking California falling in the ocean, better flight connection from New York, only drawback is sharing a plane full of Americans

  • good welcome

  • WOOOOHOOOOO.....BOEING...THE BEST IN THE WORLD!

  • airbusandboeing2: they change the rout because AA and Qantas are in the OneWorld Alliance. AA major Hub is dallas. From Dallas there are countless connecting flights for the passenger which comes from Australia

  • Great vid. The longest route currently flown by the 747 I believe.

  • @Nunz149 Yes - I know of at least 2 times that they have had to refuel mid pacific!. I believe that this is the longest route for a 747 worldwide, but being an island nation aussies have always pushed that envelope. Another one is Adelaide - Bali on the 737-800 , pilots have to check weather before crossing the WA coast and make decision then to continue or not.

  • 0:27 lol the bird :D

  • @HamburgAirport The bird, bird, bird the bird is the word! (Family Guy)

  • aussie pride

  • Double post fail(me)

  • Why the cocking hell di QF change san fransisco for DFW now what am i supposed to fly to san fransisco, united i dont bloody think so

  • @airbusandboeing2 One World kicks all the ass! LOL!

  • @airbusandboeing2 use QF to dallas andAA toSFO

  • @RANDOMNESS873

AA? I'd rather have chlamydia... again.

  • Love that whistle.....

  • I always come here

Matter of fact i came here on my 16th birthday in may

    such a beautiful place

glad to call it my favorite

i wish to see you here some times but i have a question

this 747 landing on the runway right in front of the founders plaza right?

    18R i think?

does it still land on that runway if so?

  • @FutureFlightDream yes 18R and most heavies land on 18R other than FedEx

  • The A380 technicaly has longer range the then a Jumbo but to get it to DFW (the A380) it must require a huge weight reduction and by the time thats finished you have less seats on the Airbus than the 747-400ER. Remember a while back that Qantas 747-400ER flew directly to london with 50 passengers or so the A380 couldnt make it at all even with 50 pax and i know this because one of my mates flys the A380 for Qantas and He sais She cant make to DFW Without a huge weight reduction. Pointless

  • @Damhaq And I'm guessing your a 747 pilot yourself?

  • Arrhhh people the A380 does not have the range to make dallad in with a stop in brisbane the A380 has a bigger fuel capacity but has a bigger fuel burn due to its weight i think QANTAS should buy 5 777-200LR's as the 300ER Cant make it either and then they should by 10 747-8i's and operate them to lax and dallas flyibg the 777 to hong kong and and parts of asia Japan etc save the A380 for london

  • @airbusandboeing2 Yes, the A380 has the range to make it to DFW. It has about 600nm more range than a 747-400ER so it certainly can make it albeit maybe with minor weight restriction although I do think DFW a 77L would be ideal for DFW.

  • @Nunz149 777-300er dosen't have the range but the 777-200LR has enough range to do it even with 60knt headwinds

  • @qantas8888 The 77W could actually do it with a weight restriction, it has 200nm more range than the 747-400ER.

  • They got low on fuel the other day flying back to Aussie cause of head winds...had to pull into Noumea to get more fuel!

  • um, whats the issue? if the 747 can make it that far then it is no better equipped for this route over a380 or 777. so everyone chill out. if your argument comes down to aesthetic or economic factors, the 747 is still at the forefront of long-distance air travel. plus, why would qantas waste the admirable advantages that come along with the a380 on a fucking texas route?! it would get a hell of a lot more exposure at lax, lhr etc. so sorry to be an arrogant prick but stop whinging for no reason.

  • @Nunz149 this is why I think QF should use the A380 for this route, or QF should have gotton some 777-300ER's

  • @DFWdeno A380 to much capacity for route

  • @DFWdeno The A380 doesn't have the range to do the route return. Heading over, the plane would be OK. It's coming back where they have all the problems, hence the Brisbane stopover.

777-200LR is the plane for the job, would also do Perth - London (and return) well for QF.

  • @DFWdeno I don't think a380's are very fuel efficient. Well of what i've heard. I think they should use the new modeled airbus 360 when it gets released.

  • @DFWdeno Many professionals in the aviation industry here in Australia gas criticised QF's choice of the 747 for this route and said that they definitely should have bought the 777's, over even the A380.

  • @DFWdeno Good to see the big red roo making its presence felt in Texas! Qantas have ordered a number of 787 dreamliners. I believe that they will have a range similar to the 777s? They will probably replace most of the 744s on long haul flights.

  • @DFWdeno It's all good mate. We'd go even further but generally there's the very REAL danger that we'd run out of VB ;-)

  • Love this footage ! Thanks again DFWdeno !

  • Do you go to Founders Plaza often?

  • @460mustang1 all the time :) I might have seen you

  • i heard the qantas 787 will be flying in to dfw when they are released

  • i was lucky enough to see the first and second landing of quantas at dfw. after the klm landed a lufthansa a340-300 came in and i got a seet pic of qantas, lufthansa, klm, and AA in a row outside terminal D

  • @460mustang1 do you happen to know what gate Qantas was at? I hear that it parks at D6, but it parked at D14 on the first flight but I think that was a one time deal, anyguess?

  • @DFWdeno should have been D1 it was at the very end

  • I love the KLM A330 Landing whilst the AA 767(?) takes-off - AWESOME

  • @scanmannz lol yah, KLM was number 2 on final for 18R after Qantas and that was an AA 777-200 going to Tokyo ;)

  • @DFWdeno Narita, Tokyo to be exact. i was walking through terminal D as they were boarding, then got a good pic of that 777 taxiing from the tarmac as i was driving to terminal E were there was an Omni Air International DC10-30 picking up troops!

  • Kangaroo plane, great shot hun! :}

  • NIce view of that monster 747!

  • Nice vid deno!

  • ew. this is supposed to be here at SFO not DFW.

  • @fsxaddictx shes here to stay, sorry :( ill miss seeing the roo at SFO myself

  • @fsxaddictx SFO SUCKS AND DALLAS IS AWESOME. dont worry you can get a flight to Australia on jester!!! haha crappy airline

  • @wizzair1313 SFO is amazing and will always beat Dallas :) Remember we have A380 service and you dont :)

  • I really wanted to see this, damn school

  • do they fly non stop from Sydney to DFW?

  • @captainDex98 yes sir they do :) as of May 16th 2011

  • @DFWdeno would you happen to know if it comes to Chicago O'hare? i may be able to spot it and post on my channel

  • @TheSaadAhmed125 no sorry :( Qantas does not serve ORD

  • @DFWdeno hmm i saw a QFA tracking from JFK to ORD, ORD to HNL, to YSSY

  • @TheSaadAhmed125 could be a co-share with American Airlines, but I really cant say, you could be right, but I have never heard of QF at ORD

  • Sucks so bad I missed out on seeing this =(. need to go up there more often. Sweet vid though man. Looks amazing.

  • Excellent! Now, if they can make it all the way to Dallas, why not to Denver too!

    Seriously!

  • Nice! Thanks Again! :-)
