  • Eph 4:32 And be ye kind one to another , tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

  • you are not following all the tenents of christianity a true christian is totally devoted to God for life, not one month, There is nothing wrong with what your doing reading the bible, going to church etc. however it is not possible to be a christian for a month. To be a christian one must understand that Jesus is God and accept his sacrifice to save them from their sin.

  • u're cute :)

  • 3) Christianity is not something you can just jump in and jump out of in a month.

By the way, any sin is a sin against God no matter who it's against.

  • 2) You may notice I asteriked religion above, b/c it is different than *faith*.... If you dont have [sincere] faith & love in Christ you will not get a sincere(real) result in your "experiment." You praying for strength b/c of idle chatter would be like a regular joe deciding to try out for the major leagues and attempting to hit a pitch from Roy Halladay, not going work..

  • 1) I think your experiment is ... .. Interesting, from the stand point of it possibly leading to a better understanding of the Christian *religion*. BUT, on the other hand you commented about JF777 telling you that you need love of God. He is absolutely right...

  • so what is the end result?

  • God is very happy that you are going through this experiment. so am I . I have been a Christian for seven years and I've had a major crisis in that time with faith. I continued to be a Christian and the Lord continue to love me. In the end, that doubting experience simply brought me closer to God and strengthened my relationship with Him. test everything, (1 Thessalonians 5:21)

  • Being a Christian is not about trying to be perfect. It is about being covered by Christ when you cannot be perfect. I do believe the Ten Commandments is EXTREMELY important, and having a moral code that Jesus would have. Those of us who truly believe and are born again WANT even feel an EXTREME need to do what is right because we want to please Him. When we fall short, Christ's perfectness covers us. accountabilty? Examples of how We try to live it.

  • He probably accused you of mocking him because he was uncomfortable with you doing a better job at his religion than he was.

  • uh...huh.... hope this isn't a delilah...

  • I can just barely make out the still faint outline of a halo starting to form just above your head. :-)

  • Here we go, 1 Corinthians 5 and 6 is one passage that instructs Christians how to deal with problems amongst themselves.

Matthew 18:15-17 concerns confronting another Christian.

And of course, when we are on the receiving end of a confrontation, we are expected to be humble and receive what people say to us with an open mind and a heart willing to correct our actions.

  • Msnomer, there are specific instructions in the New Testament on how to deal with accountability within the church. instructions on what we should do when we offend someone, and also what to do in situations when someone in the church is "in sin". I will have to get back with you on the specific passages, but the first few chapters of 1 Corinthians deals with a man who's "living" with "his father's wife" if you want a head start on what I'll be looking up. :)

  • No masturbating?! Oh noes!

  • Now the mere fact that you have chosen as your Alpha & Omega of C/A as being Jezuzfreak777 & the Amazing Atheist, we can easily gage the earnestness of your experiment. JF777 represents the evangelical far right & the Amazing Atheist saw William Hung on American Idol an figured, if he can make money at it so can a redneck from the south. Now if under the slimmest chance that you are in earnest, watch this vid, this is an example of honest faith

  • i have not chosen my alpha and omega as JF and TAA... they are just debating the nature of my challenge. and i thought i would chime in with my actual opinon.

  • Ahhh I stand corrected, sorry.

  • Having fun yet?

  • You really have a gross misunderstanding of what it means to be christian. You may follow all the rules you wish, but unless a man be born again he cannot know God. The Spirit of God does not dwell within you because of this reason, rendering your whole "experiment" merely a charade. A misnomer if you will.

  • autosuggestion

  • Are you sure fornication means pre-marital sex? It's Latin origin meant prostitution.

  • I have a question.

TMA and you both think there should be more accountability on earth for sins.

my question is why? and what is a sin? Who makes this determination? Is it still sin if no one ever finds out you did it? What is the punishment for your sin?

I would think that the current laws already in place, protect society from what most atheist's deem as sin.

I applaud you taking this challenge.

  • Psalm 15

A psalm of David. 1 LORD, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on your holy hill? 2 He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart 3 and has no slander on his tongue, who does his neighbor no wrong and casts no slur on his fellowman,

  • keep up the good work

  • On the accountability issue, I would look to two Scriptural passages. First to Matthew 5:23-24, which admonishes us to first be reconciled with our brother before we make any offering to God. And secondly to James 5:16, which instructs us to confess our sins and faults to one another and to pray for healing and forgiveness. This is absolutely essential in achieving the unity in love that Christ wishes for His people.

  • Matthew 22:35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

  • God would tell you to draw your sword and kill anything that moves. Jesus, however, would probably applaud your love for your fellow man. No sex, though? I thought the point of Christianity was that you could do whatever you want and get away with it, because Jesus forgives you. That's just my understanding, but it also means you get to have sex.

  • Shouldn't you not just be hoping for Spring but praying for it? =)

  • Are you really 36 years old?

  • ha, yes... why does everyone keep asking this.

  • Because you look younger....its a good thing :)

  • How are you treating your slaves? I'm interested to know where you bought them from.
