This is a wonderful little song. Never thought I'd see Kenny Rogers mixing it up with Take 6, but this was such a warm, gentle, yet outstanding performance. I have truly fallen in love with this song:)
I understood what you said my english is very well, don't worry. But I think you are right and I don't want that anyone else says that 'his song' is not correct.

Not exactly 'his' song: The song was written by Johnny Mercer.

Well 'his song' doesn't describe who wrote it or not. 'His song' just means that Kenny Rogers sung it (even if he wasn't the first one ...)

'Kenny Rogers performing his song' would imply that he wrote it, or introduced it, or is closely identified with it--none of which is true.

All right, I changed it into "Kenny Rogers performing 'Love Is Just Around The Corner' " for you ;-)

Wasn't trying to be disagreeable, just a clarification in usage--perhaps a matter of understanding the English idiom?

@naizret
Uh-uh. This song was written by Lewis E. Gensler, with lyrics by Leo Robin. But Gensler did collaborate on other songs with Johnny Mercer.
