I've found, through experience, that white is a much better investment.

I owned the PSP 1000, two PSP 2000s, and now a PSP 3000, and I got two in black, two in white. If you get black, your fingerprints BLATENTLY show up when there's any overhead light source. (If you played it at school, the light from the ceiling would shine down, making the fingerprints obvious.)

But the white PSP doesn't do that. Hides fingerprints nicely.

Aside from that, it's all taste. :)
