  • People may assume that this development is eco friendly but, as a long time birdwatcher at Beddington, I can say that it was built on wildlife habitat where many birds nested and other animals lived. Cutting carbon emissions is a side issue to the real problem which is world overpopulation and unabating population growth. If carbon emissions were cut by 50% (don't hold your breath), what good is that when the world population doubles again ? Focus on the real threat to wildlife and environment.

  • All issues connected with any urban development are challenging - original ecology of the site as well as the future effectiveness and environmental performance of the development. Sadly, many "eco" developments are still realized in greenfield locations. With growing knowledge about the threats of urbanization, we must learn from the failures of past. Thanks for your comment - noone talks about this fact and even the sustainable urban development promoters tempt to switch these facts off...

  • Gli Inglesi come al solito ci hanno dato un grande esempio di civiltà...dopo il protocollo di Kyoto la Gran Bretagna ha ridotto le emissiomi del 5%, l'Italia le ha aumentate dell'11%...complimenti...prend­iamo esempio da loro..
