I missed a cast blast at NARM by 2 days when I was visiting the PRB. I really wish I had seen it, I hear they have done 2000 feet at once before. That is insane. You are right though, this is the Caballo mine.
I am the author of this video. I took the video and uploaded it to Youtube. I could put you in touch with several people at all the Peabody Energy coal mines in the Powder River Basin including NARM, Caballo, and Rawhide.
Does anyone know the author of this video? I am a video researcher for PBS's FRONTLINE and am very interested in finding footage of cast blasting in the Powder River Basin area. That video came from Caballo mine did it not? I used to work for that mine. Should try and video a cast blast from NARM and post it.
