  • "I want you two guys to report right away to the recreation room" lol

  • "He'll try to keep his sanity...with the help of his robot friends!"

  • omg huey and dewey are officially the cutest robots ever! i want one!

  • Gimme a lonely little island to be stranded on, rather than in deep, cold space.

  • If I was in his position, i'd probably end up going crazy and blowing the ship to smithereens anyway. No human contact.

  • I think he,s aware he,s done a very bad thing and now he has to pay the price.

Two wrong don,t make a right.

  • I wouldn't mind being on that ship. Cute robots, freshwater falls, wildlife. Nice peaceful place.

  • Cut my teeth on the C-8 when I worked at Tessmann Planetarium (Santa Ana Ca) but there is no way Earth would appear that large in a C-8 from the location of the Space Freighter! Saturn is the second largest planet in our Solar System and from Earth, at a max mag of 400X Saturn still is very small. Loved the SL and used the music; when I developed and gave planetarium shows at Tessmann in the late 70s, used the music from SL!

  • I loved it when Huey gave Dewey that little tap on the side.

  • Think its safe to say that Freeman's really starting to do the insanity-shuffle when he starts that card game with the Robots.

  • cool movie :)

  • personal fave. I saw it when it first came out. Dern was one of the great mid-school actors...same class as Nicholson. I consider this his best.

  • This reminds me MST3K way too much!

  • They couldn't make movies like this anymore because it's a story plotted movie and not action oriented...too bad they don't make them like this, but it's all about the money.

  • Good point. However, Hollywood isn't making money, even with the action flicks. Today's movies are just remakes or sequels, threquels, etc.

  • @flash715 oh I dunno, i thought Wall-E was a pretty good successor to this

  • @flash715

    That is a sad truth

  • I saw this in the theater when it came out. I was 7. I don't remember much, and now I now why. I was too young. But I am glad I got to see it again. Great film.

  • hey a Celestron scope! Nice! Quite a old one too of course, a orange tube. :)

  • Mystery Science Theatres Tom Servo and Crow T. Robot were actually inspired by the droids here!

  • good movie, although that pool table robot is so ridiculously slow, lol.

  • A deeply moving movie. I love the music in this part where Lowel wonders around the ship.

  • lol hewey and dewey are awesome!

  • I wonder if the laugh on Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon song (can't remember the name) came before or after this movie, and if one inspired the other.

  • This is a must see movie!
