  • My song for "EVERYTHING IS GENERAL RELATIVITY AND EVERYTHING HURTS" (fanfiction ;_;)

  • Love Rosy!!!!!!!!!!

  • Rosey Grier is a total bad ass and well suited to sing this song. A member of the fearsome 4 some of the LA Rams, he knits, sews and crochets and tackled Bobby Kennedy's assassin Sirhan Sirhan.

  • @zork306 That's the 70s baby!

  • I was thinking of this song when this lady was staring at all of us at school so I wouldn't laugh... XD good song though. Have this movie!

  • R.I.P? He's still alive!

  • The official song of the Washington Redskins....boo hoo you suck!

  • a friend killed himself yesterday and I referenced this to another friend. Thanks for posting advice we should all remember.

  • @zork306

Just had to comment back, Rosey actually does know how to play the guitar. I saw an NFL Films expose on the L.A. Rams and they showed him in a recording studio and he was actually playing the guitar while talking.

  • This was one of my favorite songs when I was little. I still particularly like "down in the dumpy".

  • I dedicate this to the Miami Heat!

  • @saj8 SNL should have Shaq sing this. it would be hilarious.

  • I watched this with my parents when it first aired. I was about 3 1/2. After that, whenever I tried to stifle tears, my old man (long passed) would sing this song at me. God bless Rosey Grier.

  • Rest in peace Rosey

  • @jdanchenko1 he's alive...

  • I dedicate this to John Boehner. :+)

  • His collar makes me cry.

  • I once had to watch this in school...public school rules

  • @thedongenarro actually thats more probably due to the rights succeeding in the repression of rights and feelings. Oh, and we've been doing alright with the terrorist you jerk.

  • I just love this song and everything about the after school special Free to Be You and Me. It came on at a time that really called for it and already was 20 years old when i first saw it when i was 5 or 6 years old. This song has arond 1:05-1:35 has adults crying so everybody can relate. Sort of like Seseme Street meets School House Rock. If only Seseme Street was still like this today.

  • I saw this when i was in like the 2nd grade and we use to sing this everytime someone got hurt!

  • @zork306 Yea.. LOL!

  • LOVE HIM!

  • This is taking me back. LOL Grier should have stuck to football though.

  • @zork306

That's hilarious, he just strums at random times, never noticed until I read your comment, haha!

  • I remember this from Kindergarten, back about the time it came out. Love this song, been looking for it for a long time. Brings back the memories.

  • Reminds me of listening to Berle Ives singing happy songs around Christmas. Happy memories and happy times.

  • THIS IS THE BEST SPECIAL EVER IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD!!!!!!!!

  • He has a wonderful voice. I wish he recorded more! A great football player, too! Thank you so much for posting this. A great song from one of the best albums ever!

  • @zork306 they told him it was an organ and he believed them

  • I loved this album when I was little but never knew it was also a movie. So neat to see the face behind the song!! And find out he was also a professional football player;-)! My favourite song on the album. Thanks for posting it and please post more from Free To Be, You and Me!!

  • I love this song when i first heard it about 24 years ago, again 27 years ago and then 6 years ago. Free to be you and me was a groundbreaking event too bad its been on the back shelfs for all these years and nobody gave it the attention it deserves.

  • @Nightmastercool97 I think the movie got overplayed in the 70s in public elementary schools all over America.

  • @irvinetustin I wasn't born till '83 and they still dusted it off whenever we had a sub in elementary =)

  • I loved this when I was little. Just showed it to my daughter ad she wanted to watch it five times in a row.

  • Gotta love Rosey Grier.. Does this make me old?

  • My favorite album form when I was a kid, brings back great memories.
