  • @wyuiqwe7 Yeah. Making Tiramisus are a lot of work especially if you don't have a stand up mixer.

  • is that 10 yolks for the batter and later 10 whites for the filling? And how much creme is he using in the filling, I just see him adding it in lumps...

  • I use a sponge cake as he does, but I dont roll, I use layers and I use Marsala instead of brandy....

  • it is tiramisu, a proper tiramisu, made with sponge cake and not biscuits. he doesn't use wine, which is a plus, and his choice of rum over brandy isn't at all a foul one.

    This is a very good approach to tiramisu and I'd certainly pay money to take one just like it home.

  • How many/much:

    * Egg whites in the cake

    * Cream cheese in the filing and

    * Whipped cream?

  • It's a really interesting idea, a sort of marriage between tiramisu and the yule log ... a marriage made in heaven :-)

  • Why are you calling this a tiramisu? Because a tiramisu it is not.

  • Look so delicious , but  in last step , adding cacao , why ? add cacao over paper cooking ? because when we eat , we should take out paper , so cacao will fall out

    the paper was removed already during that process but that step wasn't shown.

  • Here in Spain, we have better cakes, and of course "The reali tiramisu", like the tiramisu from Italy.... And I think that this cooker-man is a little bit nasty!!!!

  • well, I wouldn't call it tiramisu, but tiramisu cake, and I would add real chocolate in the middle. One more suggestion I would cut small circles of the cake and building it up  to make individual cakes, topped with and strawberry. They would look just fantastic.

  • was that an equal ratio of egg whites to egg yolks? I think that's the only thing they don't say when he made the egg whites, how many he used...
