@itena Hmmm. Maybe. I hear it as him flexing the rhythm, but you could be right. Great song. I'd heard of this guy years before, but only started listening carefully the last couple of days. I'm very impressed, and I'm a hardcore jazz fan. He packs a lot into his performances.
This is fun. It keeps Gershwin alive. No one is going to put this out who doesn't really enjoy the music. Great voice. I'd like to hear more of his stuff.
I think I'm missing the point... what does this have to do with the music exactly? Absolutely nothing you say? That's what I thought.... Seriously Kristopaivinen listen to the music.
Just let me get one thing clear: i think our opinion of stylish is different. Stylish does not necessarily mean black tie. This is not the 60's. Besides, I think that that style of clothing would attract a different audience than the one jamie is aiming for. Like Thatguy301 said, Jamies style is just in style, like the stuff people wear every day, nothing too fancy.
I personally like this look much better than the stiff suits the old jazz-musicians wore.
What's the point of a smooth-cheeked anemic with fashion hair and ironed jeans posing as a jazzman? Is it to steal some audiences from the Backstreet Boys? Or does it all just go well together with the wimpy voice?
not that I consider Jamie's look to be good but it is "in style"; whats wrong with being stylish and a jazz musician? Granted, the two rarely meet up but if they happend to there shouldn't be a problem. Look at Herbie Hancock (not from pre-90s), he dresses stylishly and appropriately but he's an amazing musician.
Where did you get this from? I'm so in love with Jamie. He's AMAZING live! I dragged some of my friends with me to see him and they immediately became fans.
Jamie Cullum è veramente geniale!!!

His voice has so many imperfections but it's so great. Imperfections are what make an artist stand out especially in jazz. Love it.

Is this a studio recording? It almost seems like it is not a finished version.
See 4:02 - He stutters out of time with the music, missing a rest. "W-Won't you take a day off?"
I don't think this would be included in a studio recording.
