Thanks for the compliments! Last year and this year have been using a Canon Vixia HV30 HDV with an external Rode Stereo Mic - the external mic has a wind screen to block wind noise so all you hear is clean, plane sounds! And since the Canon has 10x opt zoom & shoots HD, I can cheat and use the 40x digital zoom, you loose a bit of quality, but it lets me get nice and close. Sorry if too detailed but hope it answers your question - thanks for watching!

Just about all the footage is from the 1st, a couple scenes from Aug 30th (they actually cut the show short that day and ended differently) - gotta compare to yours now :)

Yeah, I noticed that some things were different later on in the video.

D'you know why they cut it short?

Thats kinda weird.

At ours, then ended with the Maple Split formation, and then they came back for the 9 Plane Line Abreast.
