For all you guys who are having trouble with this sub-boss, try this technique:
1 - Spam Incendiary Shurikens (those things can blow them up all the way from a distance!)
2 - When they are going to explode, just block and you won't get hit! Just try it, it works! Somehow Ryu manages to block an entire explosion like that just by blocking like you usually do with light attacks!
DM3 was harder and DMC 4 has more combos. This just has more blocking strategy and button mashing with more weapons (i know theres a lot of combos but when you fight the strategy comes in the blocking).

While I agree with you on the fact that DMC is childs play compared to this, both have a similar structure. I thought the same about DMC and NG2, but NG2 provides loads more challenge
im playing ninja gaiden right now and its easy even tho im on easy but ive beaten all the difficulties on dmc besdes dmd and so far i think dmc is harder than NG2 just my opinion

The easyest way to kill the turtles are get the eclips scyth and run up to their head and just start swinning. it does way more damage then just hitting their legs and when the exsplode all you have to do is block.

this boss battle was so fucked up at "Path of The Master Ninja" one of the hardest boss battles in the game on that mode, but if you keep hitting him on the head with the swallows he is easy ^^ and dont forget to block otherwise ure dead meat -.- nice battle btw ;)
If you attack the head with the scythe by simply jumping and pressing "y", its really effective for those having trouble with it, and remember to block before it explodes
truth is, i just fought these guyz 3 hours ago, they were hard at first and i died against them twice, but i used the flying swallow,arrows, and bomb kunais, then when i killed the first, i tried to run far away but i lost almost of my life and when i killed the second one i tried to run again but i died but i had tor and i survied
use the true dragon sword (focus on their heads)because that takes the most damage from them (their weak spot) then block before they explode dont hit their legs like this guy did lmfao that shit takes all damn day
i knew that but my cousin was palying and he been trying to use the scyfe but always died when they put thereselfs on fire but when i played, i killed them both and he was mad,the talismen of rebirth saved my life cuz when when the second one died he exploded and i died but was brought back to life
lv 3 scythe on their head, one or two combos = dead. BEWARE the "Flare" up of ONE of them, it's fatal... I found that out the hard way... as for the explosion, block, apparently works.

This boss is really easy. Use tier 3 "Kusari - Gama"and aim for teh head with the "One Hundred Flames" Combo, when you land use some random X combos, takes away aprox 40-45% in jsut 1 perfect combo, i had a hard time as hell first, but i used wrong wepon lol. Now i farm them for fun :D
this was by far the biggest pile of shit of ALL boss fight let alone trying to escape the explosions is nearly impossible AT times this fight frustrated me
This is the first fight that is, in my opinion, absolutely unfair. The fact that they blanket the field with bombs and overuse the rolling attack is bad enough, but the camera / color scheme make this almost unplayable.

yea just block thats all. i just used the tufas and beat these boss in 1 min easy and chapter 12-14 best graphics every and also this game has the perfect last boss

this boss battle was so fucked up at "Path of The Master Ninja" one of the hardest boss battles in the game on that mode, but if you keep hitting him on the head with the swallows he is easy ^^ and dont forget to block otherwise ure dead meat -.- nice battle btw ;)

If you attack the head with the scythe by simply jumping and pressing "y", its really effective for those having trouble with it, and remember to block before it explodes

truth is, i just fought these guyz 3 hours ago, they were hard at first and i died against them twice, but i used the flying swallow,arrows, and bomb kunais, then when i killed the first, i tried to run far away but i lost almost of my life and when i killed the second one i tried to run again but i died but i had tor and i survied

use the true dragon sword (focus on their heads)because that takes the most damage from them (their weak spot) then block before they explode dont hit their legs like this guy did lmfao that shit takes all damn day

i knew that but my cousin was palying and he been trying to use the scyfe but always died when they put thereselfs on fire but when i played, i killed them both and he was mad,the talismen of rebirth saved my life cuz when when the second one died he exploded and i died but was brought back to life

lv 3 scythe on their head, one or two combos = dead. BEWARE the "Flare" up of ONE of them, it's fatal... I found that out the hard way... as for the explosion, block, apparently works.

This boss is really easy. Use tier 3 "Kusari - Gama"and aim for teh head with the "One Hundred Flames" Combo, when you land use some random X combos, takes away aprox 40-45% in jsut 1 perfect combo, i had a hard time as hell first, but i used wrong wepon lol. Now i farm them for fun :D

This is the first fight that is, in my opinion, absolutely unfair. The fact that they blanket the field with bombs and overuse the rolling attack is bad enough, but the camera / color scheme make this almost unplayable.

it's pretty easy to kill just one, aim in the head and use about 10 incendiary shukiren, that's it
but against two it's way harder
I've never complaimed about the camera, but in this boss it really sucks, it spins al the time
