It's body language. She most likely doesn't realize she's doing it, but it's a subtle way of saying "Shhh...." She was a little shy about being there with Dr. Legaspi. That was before she actually knew about Kim's preference and before they became an item. Perhaps she knew what she was feeling towards Kim and was afraid it would show. Therefore, her body was portraying what her mind was thinking when Dave saw the two together -- "Shhhh..." telling herself to keep her guard up.
