@bugzbunnys It's a know fact. Many of the athletes drug tests from that time period would fail todays standards. All of the test results are kept. I worked for the IOC doping department in Montreal for 2 years. Thats how I know.

Bolt didn't 'come from nowhere' he was breaking world records at 15 and younger. He only didn't win something earlier due to 2 years bad injuries. They were a head of the World in massing their samples to beat the tests but with new technology now it is getting harder and harder to do so. I think there was a cover up at Seoul and the Americans were somehow allowed to get off eg Flo Jo..I don't care what ppl say nor what the 'official' dope results tell us..she was on something... She was always a good athlete but not in the world recod breaking league. Her physique changed and her times were improved dramatically in '88. Check out the 200m at Rome World Champs '87 ..she was slimmer and from memory I think she was 2nd or 3rd( need to double check).

I am not American, Canadian or Jamaican but I really love Bolt , Asafa and all the Jamaicans and other Caribbeans who 'run tings' now :-) I believe that Bolt is the real deal. He's been fast from his school days. Jamaica and the islands have always produced talent. A lot of them used to go off to Canada..e.g. Donovan Bailey (and Ben Johnson??). I don't believe Bolt is on drugs, his physique etc looks natural..I hope for the sake of the sport and all the kids that he remains clean!!!

Its sad to think that you can be completely honest about training and working out and not taking performance ennhancing drugs and everyone else you are in a race with might all be juiced up.
