u can do that ignition cut to disengage the awd to rwd safely. u turn off the ignition while its driveing then turn back on and that sets the car to rwd

To clear everything up, they're Kumho Ecsta SPT colored smoke drifting tires. It's a dye they put throughout the tread compound. When you first buy them, there will be a chalk-like substance on the tread to indicate the smoke color. The first time you light them up that chalk like substance is gone and they look like regular tires.
