  • @ckovertime Thank you very much! She's one of my favourite song writers.

  • Beautiful song and so glad to see the Lady of Ladies, La Streisand. Thank you!

  • @Towersla Oh well, thank YOU for watching. So glad that people still appreciate these artists! Barbra's voice is one of the purest ever, amazing talent.

  • You did a great job. Wonderful song and you picked the right singers for a tribute. Long live them all !!!

  • @FLBoy46 Thank you, I really appreciate it! I guess the song speaks for itself; these ladies are some of the singers that I really admire for their incredible careers.

  • Wow. I was glad to see my grrrl Mina in there. She may be almost completely unknown in the English speaking world, but she is without a doubt one of the greatest singers of all times.

  • @orvgg I agree. She's not well known in my country either, but I'm glad I came across her music through a friend. Such a powerful voice and great stage presence.

  • Where's ETTA JAMES????!!!

  • love this song!

  • This was a truly beautiful tribute! And this song is fantastic!

  • @ABBAInMyHeart Thank you for watching, I'm glad you liked it!

  • MINA IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • So very well done! Sent chills down my spine! Thank you very much!

  • Thank YOU very much, I appreciate it!

  • I really love this video! :D

  • I made a video using this song for Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows with Judy Davis - but lost the video. It's a beautiful song. I LOVE Julie, Barbra, Edith, Liza, Judy... so much talent! My god.

Another fab movie by you! I adore it! :D The song was written for Judy Garland.

  • Aw you did? I'm sorry you lost it, I would have loved to have seen it. Thank you, I'm glad you liked my version. :) Yup, and what a great tribute to Judy this song is!

Thank you everyone who has watched this.

  • Thank you everyone who has left a comment here. It's great to see these ladies aren't forgotten, "no matter where they are," as Dusty herself said. I appreciate your comment as the intention of this video was indeed to show respect to all these singers who all have that little something that makes their performances stand out to me.

  • Nina Simone and Judy Garland were soooo entertaining to see "live" on stage. They're very missed. May they rest in peace. Aretha, the most reknown singer of the twentieth century, is the Queen.

Thanks for the vintage video footage.

  • You are most welcome. All of the clips can be found somewhere here on YouTube and I was delighted to see so much footage of these great singers and many others as well.

  • I almost cried...almost! Dusty at Royal Albert Hall is brilliant, she sung so well there, and clips of her from the 60s, ah! I miss her!

Brilliant video, edited so wonderfully and skillfully and all the other gals, Nina Simone and Aretha...ahhh!

Where is the video of Julie Andrews from though? One I've never seen before :)

  • Thank you so much. :) The Julie Andrews clips were from her tv show "The Julie Andrews Hour", a song called "Try To Remember". It at least used to be here on YouTube, good luck trying to find it! And the other clip was her singing a medley at the Tony awards. That one I saw just a few weeks ago, so it should be still available here.

  • This is amazing! So glad to see Julie Andrews in this mix!
