The Southern ocean sanctuary says in the treaty that no whaling is allowed in the sanctuary. Japan isn't whaling they are doing research and therefore are allowed to be there.

"Terrorism" means trying to frighten or intimidate a population by hurting bits of it. Whales lack the social cohesion to be called a population, and the goal is food and study, not fear.
Look up a guy, I think his name was Theodore Roosevelt. Conservation was his game a solid century before anybody else started playing.

I know;i live in japan for 5 years but even thow im just a school kid I can tell what is ethical right and ethical wrong.wanting to stop the japanese whaling is nothing personal for the people there,really nothing.I like sushi and I eat meat like chicken&beef.but killing a whale is like killing a human.with this I deffinetly do not mean that I consider human life=whale life.I considder that if mother sees child die with same awareness I have,I think:"what kind of world do we live in?"
