I'm from Sydney Australia and I recently bought a 67 Fastback from the good folks at Coyote Classics in Greene IL. I saw this clip and called my Dad immediately. We lost Mom last year and I thought instead of shipping the car the west coast maybe instead we could fly up to Chicago, and do a Route 66 road trip together. Dad has had a tough year since Mom passed but he really got excited about the idea. So..Saturday September 24th we fly into Chicago, pickup the 68 and head west Sunday morning!!
Wicked, I live 3500km from my dad I'm driving my cutlass from here to thier so we can drag race together. I have vids of my car on here. Hopefully it makes it only drivin it 20 min out of town before. I'm makin a video of the road trip also leavin in 2 days.
Thats honestly really precious and I love that Ford took the time to capture a dream and make it real. I have a '63 Mustang Concept Convertible that me and my father share and it was just completely a blast to put everything together. I could have never asked for anything more but to spend more time with my father. You guys did a really really good job.
Im a Mustang fan also, its my dream car and driving in one with ur dad is the best thing.....I'm 20 years old and can't wait to get my 2011 Mustang 5.0, in a few weeks, and when i do, this is exactly what ima do as a apreeciation for everything hes done for me..
This was a great video. I'm 23 and purchased my first mustang, a used 2008 Pony Pack coupe, last year. It isn't the fastest, rarest or particularly special in any way but, it is mine. I want to keep the car until I can pass it onto a son or daughter. Thanks for sharing your story.
I have a 68 coupe. I let my Dad drive it from Portland to Salem, he came out of that car with a S**t eating grin on his face and remembering when he had his brand new 68 coupe and a 63 MKIII Austin Healey. I would like to do that with my dad.
I lost my father a week ago today he was a HUGE mustang man and now me and my brother are also. This story hits so close to home. I'm 32 years old way to young to loose my father but at less i have his 67 shelby clone. It means the world to me now. Time is to short everyone should enjoy what time they have with there family and love ones. You never know if they will be there tomorrow. The two in the story are very lucky.
Oh come on guys, stumbleupon is the perfect advertising vector, what do you expect? Everyone has to make a living. Plus, I thought this video was entertaining. Kudos to Ford for making these two guys so happy.
While I did enjoy the story, and I do think that Ford is kind for giving them this car, It probably isn't right to advertise a company (even indirectly through a contest / program) on stumbleupon.
Hey Joe! Thanks for coming in to discuss your Mustang dream experience. Your story was chosen amongst thousands of submissions as something special that should be documented and shared.
It was the best trip I've ever had and most likely the best I'll ever have. For Ford to think our story was best of all the entries is something, but I do wish those who wrote in never forget or never give up on their Dreams.
Always loved the Mustang but I wish you could make it for a taller man. 6'8 and I never could drive this beautiful car the way it was meant to be driven.
i love mustang :D

Enough thumbs down, it'll go away.
I also suspect that money HAD to have been involved, 'cause Jesus H, I'd only watch this again for cash.
