Haha, I just watched it, and I'm pretty sure I just made up a rhythm using D (open), F (3rd fret), and G (5th fret). A better way to play this (though probably harder to do and sing) is look up the bass tab. It's pretty recognizable. If you want to play it like this, just play around with those chords I listed up there when in drop D. Good luck!
