  • Thanks bruh...

  • Hey, i'm trying to solve a problem, maybe you can help.

I also have fast track pro, I'm trying to record the line out (play part of youtube video and record audio in Cubase for example), but I cant set it up to record the output like I used to with EMU 0404 i had before. Is there a way to do it, cause I tried everything?

  • @secondaryum Sorry secondary, I've never tried it. I understand what you are saying, but unsure how to do it.

  • dude do you know if i can still record with the fast track with out having the speakers .. like just with my micc fastrack and computer? or do i ''need speakers''? please let me know ..! thank you!!

  • @TEDDYDREAMBIGGOBIG You can definitely record without speakers! You can also use headphones don't forget ;)

  • @beatstruggles Thanks alot bro, im trying to also make my own home recording studio ! so yeah thanks man i really aprisiate it !!

  • Help me bro, do i need to have a ''Reference monitor speaker'' or whatever to use this? I'm getting into making beats, but i only have a speaker set up from logitech called Logitech Speaker System Z323.

  • @raptor93D I don't want to say yes, but if you can somehow connect your speakers to the RCA connections in the back of the fast track pro, you will probably be able to!

  • Very helpfull man, Thank!

  • Hey man! If you're plugging into a guitar amp do you do the same? (i.e. Do you need two leads? Where do they go?) Cheers!

  • @PaoloQuinn

No, there are 2 inputs on the front of the Fast Track Pro. You can plug one in for your microphone, and one in for your guitar. With the input it can take TS/TRS or XLR (Different types of cables).

For your guitar you will want a TS cable, and it plugs into the front then you just adjust your volume. If you have a really hot signal, just put the PAD on then adjust your volume!

  • cheers mate

  • OMG! Don't Tell Me! A Common-Sense Based Straight Answer in the USA? NO! Can't Be! I can't thank you enough for being an "Ex-Plai-Nation" Genius!

  • @TheErnieLeblanc

Haha I can relate man, that's why I made the video ;) -- just gotta keep it simple!

  • hey i dont have the TRS in my speakers(sony) ! Well , my speakers are connected first to my subwoofer than the subwoofer to my Pc . How can i connect the M-audio fast track pro to my speakers plz , do you think that i have to connect the subwwofer to the audio interface ?

  • @mehdiand1job

It sounds like you have like real computer speakers.

But if you do have Reference monitor speakers this is how it goes:

go from your audio interface OUT, to the Subwoofer IN, then the Subwoofer Out, into your Reference monitor speakers, then it's just a matter of making the m-audio fast track pro your sound card inside your DAW (Music program)

  • best tutorial ever!! thanks man!! :D

  • I have the more basic version of this and when I try to record my guitars, direct out from my amp no miced, I see the signal in cubase but nothing records. Any ideas as to why?

  • @HammerDimension

Do you hear your guitar in cubase? Just no recording? -- Not to sound rude lol, but make sure you have the record button hit!

  • @beatstruggles No I hear nothing in cubase, though the level indicator moves when I play, signifying cubase is receiving a signal. Of course I hit record :P but theres nothing to indicate its recording a signal, its like when you hit record and do nothing.

  • @HammerDimension

The only thing I can think of is that you do not have your audio options set up right like having your fast track as your sound card -- you may have your computers sound card rather than the fast track interface! Double check in your audio options! -- make sure your drivers are up to date, try different USB ports, try with microphones etc. Other than that, I'm not sure man =/ sorry!

  • @HammerDimension turn MONITOR option on in cubase

  • Ya, I have tried TRS to XLR and it works!

  • if we plug the trs into the m audio fast track and the other end is an xlr into our monitor, will it still work if its not a trs into a trs?

  • just a quick question...can keyboards be plugged into audio interfaces to record into the PC/mac? if so how would this be done? Thanks

  • @MsOnionBhaji

Ya, I've never done it, so don't take this 100% -- but I'm pretty sure you use TRS 1/4" cables from the output (if no output then headphone jack) of your keyboard into the front of the audio interface and record! If I'm wrong sorry =/

  • quick question what kind of camera are you filming with? :-)

  • @BassyJones

Canon EOS Rebel T3 -- very happy with it man, I've made a couple slide shows on youtube with it. I've never had a camera like this till recently, the pictures DSLR's take are unreal! Either check out my channel to see the slide shows or search "the Glory of God pop beat"

  • @beatstruggles Thanks man! :-)

  • I wanna get this interface, but I heard that there are some driver issues when your using a 64bit OS, only 32 bit drivers exist, and second you should let people know that they have to disable their default sound card, so M audio would work, your next video should be about installing fast track pro.

  • @tsunami30003000

I am not too happy with the interface myself when it comes to recording vocals/plugging in instruments. I have a youtube review on the audio interface. And thank-you for the idea, when I get some time, we'll see what happens about installing it.

  • man can u help me? i cant hear a thing from the right side of headphones ..

  • @SvItoJ

Could be the cord that you plug in from your headphones. I find with my headphones I have to turn/rotate the cord until it gets both speakers working.

  • @beatstruggles ye thanks man i fixed it ..
