@MaddGearMoDDzZ you don't put them on to the ps3, you play the files from your laptop using the ps3 as a "player" for the media. This is called making your ps3 a media server and using it is called streaming.

PS3 Media Server is great, but this video is totally worthless. Why not just tell people to google "PS3mediaserver". Then download and install the program. Your video offered no more information.

I wouldn't "disable" the firewall, I would allow the connections you need through it, you need to learn how to do that for other programs, now is as good a time as any, should be simple, if not, google, sorry I'd help you out more, but I don't use that firewall. There should be a place where you can allow connections through it, and it should prompt you when it see's it attempting to connect, you might have to enter an allowance for it manually. Check it's documentation.

disabling your firewall is the easy answer for those who don't know how to make rules and exceptions in their firewall program, that's all :)

Well yeah, but it isn't secure, and you open yourself up to viruses, hackers, worms, etc. Therefore, it's safer to open an exception in the FW for what you need open, not to "turn the firewall off". I'm speaking purely from an IT Security standpoint. If you don't know how to make rules, you should learn how, or it should auto-detect when something tries to connect out and walk you through the process, it's really quite simple. Then again, AVG isn't that great, so.. yeah maybe turn it off lol
