I got as far as making the triangle, and getting it tangent, but I cannot for the life of me get the triangle center point to line up after selecting midpoint.
When I "select midpoint" and then click on same ring you did, the properties just disappear. How do I get this freakin thing to work.
Just a weird comment here but you are aware of the appearance features of solidworks right? You can choose the face you want and knurl it using appearance. It can also be mapped and sized for the piece your working on.
I program my View Temporary Axis to the "T" key on my keyboard. I also program my Measure Tool to the "M" on my keyboard. Very handy. And for a REAL thrill hit the "G" key on your keyboard !! ;=} Great Video !!
@majom9111 yeah surfacing could be a pain especially when your looking at aesthetic piece like a car body. I'll try and post some videos on surfacing in general and leave it up to you to make those tools work for you. if you find your self getting stuck on somethings specific let me know
Nice vid, thanks for the help. FYI, to pattern the Sweep Cut, you do not need to draw a center line. Click: View; Temporary Axis...Select: Axis 1 (Center Line) as the Parameter in your Circular Pattern - one less feature to deal with.
