This nwo angle killed bret's title run in late 99 it was not necessary bret did not want to turn heel. but as usual russo had to intervene. i respect vince russo for putting the wcw world title ion bret! but turning him heel was stupid. bret was really getting over solid as a face champ!
Yeah Russo was always changing shit around ,and was trying to constantly change the direction of the company. If it aint broke ,dont fix it! Bret was getting over as champion ,but then Russo and the booking committee at WCW ,had to turn Bret heel ,just like they did in mid 1998 ,out of no where when they initially had Bret join the NWO ,when he was already over as a face. And Bischoff was supposed to have been the brains behind the operation at WCW ,but it seemed like he had his head to far up

After the previous nWo, if they wanted to "shock" people which by this point would be impossible, why not have those 4 men huddle up with their back facing the cameras, when they break the huddle, have the camera zoom in to the backs of Piper and Goldberg and see the nWo. Either way by this time, it was dead.
