    greetings from France

  • Love the one fingerd salute at 2:50

  • @murray1249 well spotted haha!

  • @roryjones. He's a marine.

  • Aye Green on Lads !!

    well Done.

  • Why is there 5 dislikes wtf!

  • paras paras in the sky, living proof that shit can fly! ;) jokes well done lads

  • the very best

  • at 2:42 is that an sas soldier? if it is then shouldn't his face be blurred?!

  • The following is fact, not opinion. Islam is evil. Mohammed was a paedophile and raped women, he cut the heads of 600-800 people. He was a weasly tyrant who used trickery and lies. He maintained that getting your way by any means possible was acceptable. He made up islam as he went along and broke his own earlier rules when it suited him. Muslims see him as the perfect man and look to emulate his example. Islam is not a religion, it is a cult of oppression & bullying. look up islam-watch. Org

  • Para Brat and Proud.

  • is that a SF member at 2:43 with the sand coloured beret? cant think what other regiment it could be, and i cant make out the cap-badge :P

  • @soldierside365 guards have a similar beret

  • @soldierside365 not evryone is as gay as mc nab

  • @BritishPatriot3

i didnt mention mcnab, just Special Forces...

  • @soldierside365 yea i am just saying mc nab bigs it up

  • @BritishPatriot3

i know i met Rusty Firmin who was in the Iranian Embassy Siege and he knew McNab and he said in the most polite way he's full of shit and so was 'Armstrong' aka Ryan.

  • @soldierside365 yea my dad served with both of them siad there both wankers, but ryan wasnt as bad as mcnab, just do it for profit and they werent in half the things they said they were in aswell as exagerting everything. been banned from the sf club and hereford i think.

  • @BritishPatriot3

really? must have been right cunts then! ha mind you, they did break the biggest un-written rule at the time, and if you cant trust someone to keep their mouths shut, then they're not really any good for SF.. especially when one of them slags of a real hero who died (Vince Phillips)

  • @soldierside365 yea i know its bad, and they both try and blame it on each other. you know the real name of the sas? special authors society. seems everyone in it trys to churn out a book haha

  • @BritishPatriot3

need at least an a-level in english to join ;)

  • @BritishPatriot3 But can you blame them? Each man that makes it that far (through the training/selection), and has been on multiple operational tours, could churn out a book a month. And each one would be more interesting and unbelievable than most of these celebs biographys.

  • someone with miltary connections please answer my question:

I was gonna join RE with the intention of going 9 Squadron, but thought why dont i just go for paras anyway? ive already applied to be in engineers, but if i can get my run time down at selection, is there a chance i could still opt into the paras?

    thanks alot

  • @soldierside365 yeah you can, ive applied for both reme and para's and depending on my run time my grades i get to choose what i will be joining.

  • @jiimmiiee48

cheers for that, slightly relieved to hear that ;)

  • is the paratroopers with RAF ???

  • No, they are army.

  • the thing with paras is they have conquered fear ... marines havnt

  • @1916supermc dont watch the video.. problem solved

  • How to get in the SAS, join the Paras! not the Marines!

  • @Whatever81417 you could still join marines and get into the sas but it goes most of the time like this :

    - para = sas

    -marines = sbs

but you can ask to volunteer for either one :)

  • @FreeRideAddikt which ever one your in you should be happy!

their both bad ass regiments tht'll own anyone! :P

  • im signing up for the 4th battalion of the parachute regiment based in glasgow.

is it hard? i mean obviously its hard but i mean do you need to be super fit beyond normal standards?

  • @ditdatdot - I did selection a few weeks ago in York, you are expected to do more than other units but it could be a lot worse to be honest. I start the training cadre july 3rd

  • @nik67sig

thats right mate. every training course starts on early july and after christmas. did you do well in your selection. i was sixteen when i joined but just managed to make the mile and half run in 6.55 minutes

  • @ditdatdot did ok, need to pick my runnin up though,im not too bad but nowhere near 6.55

  • @ditdatdot did ok yeh, runs was nowhere near 6.55 tho.only had 2 weeks notice of selection.i imagine my time will go right down through training

  • The Hardest days of my life but the Best.

    3 Para Aldershot.

  • no fukin way.thats me at 0.43 haha

  • @djpaulmichael is it really lol ? :P

  • @djpaulmichael Haha, good on you mate. :) And thank you.

  • @djpaulmichael Is that so Soldier? Name, Rank & Number? ;) hah, nah only joking mate, if thats you, then gettoncha, What was it like in the deserts of the Middle East then?

  • @djpaulmichael

well then I guess you've just been CRATED!!!!!

  • shit i accidentally clicked 1*...

    sorry.

  • oh yer does anybody know if youve gott be flat footed or non flat footed to be in the army or doesnt it matter?

  • You have to be non - flat footed mate, non of the services will even touch you if you are, due to the fact that you cant run very well if you are flat footed.

  • thanks

  • farmer1123 has got a slight point. You can still be a bit tubby and be of average fitness. Just like you could be skinny as fuck and be unfit. Just think it's easier to make fat cells into muscle cells lol

  • GamerLass0825 fat is fat, muscle is muscle thats like turning lead into gold.

  • u cant make a fat cell into a muscle cell. thats like turning gold into silver

  • Very true, however people with a bit of fat will find it easier to build muscle than someone who's really skinny, this is because to build muscle you need plenty of calories and with a decent amount of fat reserves your muscle will have a good supply to feed on. So while you're not litterally changing fat into muscle you will be shedding fat and building muscle simultaneously.

  • yea thats exactlly right

  • True, exactly why I'm eating so much more now. I'm skinny but work out, need to build muscle so eat alotta food to try and put on weight (muscle)..:)

  • fuck,write a muscle mag,stop the steroids lol,seriously your total right,RESPECT!!

  • true because lets be honest. if you;ve seen the worlds strongest man programs the men aren't exactly well toned like body builders but they are huge men capable of lifting enormous weight and pulling trucks along the road

  • Exactly those guys would probably eat about 4000 calories a day mostly protein & carbs, at the gym they'll probably only do 4 reps at a time so they can lift much heavier weights, because of this they don't burn off much of those calories and are left with quite a lot of fat, with an absolute ton of muscle underneath!

  • @SOPARA862k that is the fist time i have ever seen sum1 put that statement such correct terms, so many people think that gaining fat can be a good thing as they think it magically turns 2 muscle!! Tel u wat tho the paras are awsome i'm currently training for the marines "Pcompany" with the paras just looks like something that only a mad man wud do evn tho the marines do hights too it dnt look nothin on that "PCompany" obstacle course, keep safe lads!!

  • they have their own brand of psycho, Marines do 30 miles, para's do 20, but para's do it faster & with more weight, marines climb 30ft of rope with 14.5kg on their back but para's tab in teams of 4 carrying a telephone pole! it's cos Marines are front line, they push forward, they have to go long distances, but don't need to carry as much weight as they have support behind them for resupplies,

  • Para's, on the other hand, go in behind enemy lines & hold the area till others push forward to them so they don't need the same endurance but need the strength to lug more kit.

  • @SOPARA862k yeh they all work tigether though that's the main thing m8 para's are just as awsome i wouldn't mind being part of either team we all work for the same queen & navy, army & airforce alldeserve the upmost respect in what they do...

you in the forces then m8?

  • Not yet! If all goes to plan then i'll be a Para by the end of the year.

  • @SOPARA862k haha well if all goes to plan in 9 10 months i'l be a royal marine!! so hope to see you in the battle field m8!! good luck... :)

  • @julzrafpilot good luck with that!! both hardcore units, i've been spending ages getting myself fit, i used to be such a lazy bastard I couldn't even do one pull up, mile & a half was like 14 & a half mins, but then i started getting down the gym 4-5 times a wk, i'm spending 1 1/2-2hrs at a time, I cycle to work now & I do press ups and sits up every weekday morning (weekends i'm generally hungover, something i gotta sort out) so i generally do them a little later in the day

  • It matters a Hell of a lot...normal footed will get you in.....and flat footedness can be cured with pysiotherapy. Good luck to you.

  • thanks

  • you cant join if your flatfooted

  • am flat footed and it hasn't stopped me...just hurts a bit sometimes on the inner area of the shin. (i did p-coy for a faire while before going signals)

but some days it doenst hurt at-all.

    no pain no game.

  • mate are you walting?

'''(i did p-coy for a fairwhile before going into the signals)'''

it sounds like you dont know what your talking about mate, you cant do pcompany for a 'fair while' and then 'go signals'

ive also looked on your page and it says your 21, but other peoples comments are saying you are 8 years old...

    :-S

  • catterick para training....after 4months i would of been medically discharged for knee problems, but i requested a change to RSigs as a comms sys eng (knowing the tabbing/lifestyle is less strenuous) meaning my knees wouldn't be causing a problem(2much movement side to side in my knee caps)

no i am not 21, neither am i 8 ''TITEYuk''

am 19 and not open arguement, or carrying on this discussion to please you.

    this is my last comment.

  • What do you mean 'I 'would' have been medically discharged' ??

Theres no such thing, Nobody would turn around to you in the med centre at CIC (para) and say 'it looks like we will have to medically discharge you in about 4 months due to the side to side movement of your knee caps'

My pal is a CMT in 3 med reg and says thats bollocks and if there was anything that could make you fail training due to a medical condition or unjury then you would be medically discharged straight away...

  • injury*

  • med reg doesn't know all the facts does he? he just heard it from your mouth the basic jist...Not the details.

my knees don't prevent me from tabbing with normal weight.... but jumping off ledges and running down hill with 40-50kg on my back+rifle/webbing means it causes the knees to move to the side in my joint, causing strain on the bone socket, and wearing the cartilage at the sides away causing pain. Just a week off means almost a full recovery.

not ridiculous strain means i'm fine.

  • the choice was, change catbadge to something less strenuous. or face being medically discharged.

surely you understand what i am saying.

Now i am sick of telling anyone about this.

i simply contributed to the subject of someone who has shin splints, then u fuckin talk to me.

piss of or il hunt u down and shoot u at point blank range-skimming ur skull so u suffer.

    ass hole

  • thats a damn bit better than carrying on wrecking my knees in para isn't it?

my profile....you looked at my profile? sad sad lil man u r.

i don't care about my profile.

    i'm not 21, i'm 20.

people called me 8? well maybe i took the piss out of someone and he called me 8 years old.

i don't care...man up u lil fag and stop hunting for people over the internet. u can't catch me out on anything....because there isn't anything false about me shit lips.

  • also its no pain no GAIN...what a "walter" chunt

  • dude flmae...talk out of ur shlt stain mouth all you want, but the fact is this. i was training in para. then after 4months of being at catterick i had to make the decision of leaving or transfering to signals.

incase you didn't know in para the main focus is actually being very fast at tabbing with ridiculous weight.

The signals the most i tab fast with at the moment is a measly 15kg.

  • Im a little confused now bkermike..

Were all 4 of those comment replies aimed at me?

If they are it seems like your trying to explain yourself way too much..

and yes.. I do know what the main focus is at CIC para..

and no.. you wont be hunting me down to shoot me at point blank range just to graze my scalp pal!

If your gunna hunt some one down you wouldnt waste your fucking time 'skimming skulls' Grow up!

Are you even British? You sound like a fuckin yank talkin like that..Wanker

  • u were not cut out to be para, its ok their many like u cant handle it, i seen them all transferring and dropping like flies, haha signals u r havin a joke

  • i have good understanding of cap badges i served with the aac, well good luck with your chosen path

  • i hate wow because my m8 or old m8 now is addicted to wow, he plays it like everyday, doesnt wash, doesnt come out of his room and he smells real bad, thats why i dont like wow

  • i used to be addicted ages ago... but quit-joined the army. now when i'm bored i play it now nd again.

best thing u can do is try and pusuade ur friend to quit. he will continue to play it for as much as he is....

  • no i already tried, he even disregards his mum basically, he told me he will die at his computer, their is no hope for him so i just get on with my life now,

  • give me his email, i wreckon i could talk him out of wow a bit.

ive helped a few of my mates out of it...

we all were addicted through college.

cus of me there not wasting there life.

  • its no pain no gain son

  • i think u could probablly get in with flat feet but nt for a role that invovles alot of running, i kno an ex marine who got discharged for having flat feet but he did still make it thru training b4

  • at 2:49 to 2:54 is da lad doin wa i think he is doin?

  • hey any1 (in the reg)is that glen in front and louie sat on the right side of the tank go on the mighty Dcoy if it is

  • yea thats louie on the tank

  • my dads in the paras he said he was there through all that and he is going on tour in september

  • good luck for your dad

  • 2.01

I read about this tactic, covering their faces to confuse Islamist insurgents and make them think they're one of them. I could be wrong, it might be a coincidence.

Respect from the British National Party

  • More like, it's covering their faces from the plums of dust being kicked up by the inbound bird.

  • nothing to do with confusing insurgents

    Flies, mites and bloody dust

  • Anyway, hoping to join the Paras myself.

Your doing a great job, keep it up.

  • MY DAD WAS IN THE PARAS :D

  • hardleyouth , he's half right. They do hide within the local populus. That's what Hearts and minds is all about! Get them to point them out.

Believe it or not we atre there to make a differnce we're not just trying to keep up with the death rate for local news! We're also repairing bridges (litteraly) and other amenities, OR building them. Making Wells for the locals and generally helping out!

Don't believe everything you see in the news, any service man wi;; tell you tat lad.

  • Seeing the Blue flash and the green, Have 1 para ben completely intergeated in to 16 AS?! That was the original pathfinders in the para regt!

Best of the best these boys, don't give a fuckl what anyone says!

  • The Paras! I would have been amoung them if My old man had'nt stoped me! He was Oman crew 70's. Good bloke, if any of the rpa are reding this you'll know! Eddie Gallagher! Lickily he had friend in high places, wonder how he even made WOI!

I went to REME sith view to airbore,,,never happened cuz of a P8 =(. Rock that Regiment though!

  • look at he cheesy on the guy in the back of the c-130 at 1:16

  • My Dad and Step-Mum knows the guy a 1:10 :]

  • i hope and pray to join next year when i am 16

my uncle was with these guys he said the shit he saw made Saving Private Ryan movie look tame

  • Does from the amount of stuff the old man passed down! He took in some horrendous stuff, but some funny stuff wiht it! Airbourne have a great sense of humour!

  • When Evil Strives To Overcome Good, When Firepower is Greater Than The Spoken Word Then Death Rides A Winged Horse

  • bomaoneuk are u pullin the piss gettin beat off the taliban?

an they do orite with there RPG,IED's an AK47's got some one who has no weapons

come back when u no what ur talking about man

  • mmm AK's and RPG's. That sounds formidable against your helicopter gunships, your half ton airstrikes, your tanks, GPMP's, £70,000 anti tank missiles and your other hardware. You should have beaten them and left in the first week. PLUS the taleban are a minority in the country. I just hope the country doesnt turn against you.

  • its not the ak's and rpg's its there will to die and how all of them have hyper active delirium.

  • you obv know fuck all about it rofl

  • Dont be a tit you twat!

Winning a war doesnt depend on the equipment you have, you could have the most technologically advanced force ever and be put against a bunch of Tribesmen with spears and you could still loose ffs!

The Taliban know their terrain, they hide in the people, have to abide by NO rules, including rules of engagment

And not only that they inject themselves with adreniline and other drugs so that they dont feel pain, and can have almost super human strengh.

    its GPMGs

  • We did beat them in the first few weeks. The government was over-thrown very quickly- its just they all ran away and emerged later on to continue the battle. And in response to your other argument- we are not getting beaten. We come out on top almost every engagement, for every 1 ISAF solider killed, there is about 10 dead Taliban.

The only things that are getting to us are IED's and suicide bombers. But in a straight up fire-fight- we win every time.

  • probably better odds than that!

  • I wish the Paras had a Cadet Force (not counting the ACF).

  • and 4 para are ta, meaning part timers they usualy will join a reg to make numbers up in numbers or somtimes alone, some are ex full time paras some are not, but all do a job in helping us regs out.

  • So is it true that 1 para are taking on lads fresh outta training now mate? I heard you had to be exeptionally good tho.

  • no, joes go to 2.3 para.

  • Im guessing u gotto do a few years b4 transferin to 1para?

  • 1 = SFSG

  • god is a para because he failed the commando course........ per mare per terram

  • u belive in god then u must be shit scared

  • scared of what exactly?

  • haha fuck off! chicks pass that cushy little bimble of a course. get your fat melon down.

    you prat.

  • so a fat squat little twat like you should have no problem doing it then eh?

  • erhm...you're the one that lookes to be a bit chubby, chubbs. and yes. if you can pass P-Coy the commando course would become a mediocre achivement.

  • do i need good grades to join the army?

  • Depends what you wanna go into.

  • no lol

only for an officer to qualify for sandhurst acedemy.

  • but about 3 other people on here say i need Cs in maths and english, true?

  • as already said, depends what you want to do....

reg army u dont have to have any, if you dont have any they pay for you to go to college and get some gcse's.

for an officer you need like b's and a's in english maths and science and then you go to sandhurst military academy and get some a levels and then you have to pass officer tests within the army...so fitness etc.

  • ok so what about bunking then, will i get n the army even tho i bunk at least one lesson everyday?

  • hahaha

look, if you want to join any sort of military you will not be able to hack it if u cant even go to school.

just get through school, do as best u can in gcse's, if the shit hits the pan then they will pay you to retake your gcse's and go see a army career guy thats your best bet.

  • its actually shit hits the fan but close enough

alright thanks for ur advice, slayterz

  • np

im reg army atm, my cousins in the rmc and i am transfering to paras next year i want to make it to 2para which is a direct back up for special forces ;)

  • Ive always thought that 1 para was the SFSG because my mate is in 2 para. Well thats what ive been told by paras, that 2+3 para are normally the battalions that a fresh para gets posted too.

  • well if ur mate is in 2 para then hes probably right tbh, i thought it was 1 and 2 para that were sfsg, 3 and 4 is where the new guys are posted and then there is the the pathfinders and stuff.

  • Na i think 4 para is the TA, but i got told when i went to colchester that 1 para are recruiting straight out of phase 2 now. A lad i was speaking to who done that ironsoldier on soccer AM, he was in 1 para for 6 years and all you do is stag on for your career apparently. But none the less its a stepping stone to the sas.

  • yeah ur right! new joes get posted to 2-3 para, blokes with bit more experiance etc transfer to 1 para for a time then back.

  • nice one mate, paras know the meaning of hard i heard 70percent of paras join and pass the SAS, all time hard cunts

  • yeh i prefer them over rmc becuase they dont just concentrate on cardio fitness, and as an amatuer body builder i will not be able to keep up with some of those fit bastards lol.

and i want to continue weight rraining in the paras which rmc dont advice becuase of all the cardio ^^ :(

  • 1 para is direct support for sf mate - jsfsg, joint special forces support group.

  • You need C's in Maths/English GCSE to become a Royal Military Policeman/woman, but not for any of the Enlisted combat roles including infantry (Paras/Marines included), armour, artillery and air combat corps.

  • for Royal Marines you need grade C's :) i asume its the same for the Parachute Regiment. they are Elite! they need some brains, and not just shoot and anything! i hope to be a RM Commando! :) but the Paras are awsome! great tripute vid man!

  • No, don't need grade C's at GCSE to enlist in the RMC or Parachute Regiment.

To become a Commissioned Officer? Yes. To enlist? Nope.

  • ahhh right, my bad, soz. :) cheers for the correct info man AND not getting ur pants in a twist cos i got it wrong like most ppl on here lol :)

  • It's alright, mate.

  • "To become a Royal Marines commando you must be male and a member of the Commonwealth or Irish Republic. You do not need any formal qualifications. Instead you must pass the Royal Navy selection process.

To become an Officer, the minimum entry requirements are At least 180 UCAS points from 2 non-overlapping subjects and 5 GCSEs (A* - C), which must include English and Maths. Applicants with alternative qualifications are considered on their individual merits." - Quoted from the RM site.

  • i nearly shit myself when i read that then, i've put 0 effort into my last year of school and had a very narrow minded view to my career path as being a para.. then you said we need C's haha but good job you was wrong :P

  • lmfao...srsly tho, wen i went to the carreers office the dude there said "you can join the paras/ marines with no quallifications, but we would MUCH rather you did have C's, aso if there are a group of ppl and we need to select say 10 out of 30 they are gonna pick ones with better grades." but u gotta be damn fuking fit aswell .. but that goes without saying to be fair!

  • C grades WTF is going on??

Since when will a C grade equipt you with the skills to Kill the enemy?

Courage, Balls, teamwork and a will to win are the essential requirements.

good luck with getting in the Parachute regiment.

  • thanks mate

  • thats bull mate dont worry!! all u need to do is pass the bard test + interview then go do a 2 day armny selection course do r mile n half under 9.30 if all gos well there then u go to cattarick then the fun begins!!

The c grade stuff he said is nonsese! but fit yes!! very.

  • Air Assualt is possbily the best military tactic since the blitzkrieg- in fact quite similar ain't it? lol

  • I'm the same as plunks, I really want ot join the paras as an officer through the sixth form scholarship! Good luck plunks, hope we both get it!

  • I'm thinkin aboot joinin the paras as an officer.. going for the 6th form scholarship scheme, really hope im up to scratch...
