This explains why ecco's pod was still alive they were all along trapped in this level
before I never quite understood back in 1992 would have been great if this was put in all versions but still could always hunt for the japanese game.

This is the level in it's entirety. It's really very short if you know the route, or very dangerous if you don't.

When you say "very dangerous" what do you mean by that? Like Vortex Sharks or something?

You can just go to Dark sea its a fan site of Ecco games you can download the rom version just be sure to get a PC game pad its better then using the key board.
Whoa, Vortex jellyfish! I don't think those were present in the American version at all...
