The USA tested a number of Nuclear Bombs here in Australia before finally decided in the former Melbourne Military Headquarters to drop 4 Nuclear Bombs in Japan. Lucky Japanese surrended when 2 Nuclear Bombs were dropped because if the other 2 Back Up Nuclear Bomb could have been dropped too, Japan could have been a very different country.
