It would be nice if the rich were, in fact, the only ones paying for the war. It would be a hell of lot better if the rich were the ones FIGHTING in the war, instead of just playing armchair general, and trying to figure out more efficient ways to f*ck up other peoples' lives.

In answer to your claims regarding who pays more taxes...the higher income groups pay a higher percentage of their income in income taxes, but when one adds in the regressive payroll taxes, those of the middle income classes pay a higher overall percentage of their income on the total tax burden. Just ask Warren Buffett or Ben Stein.
