  • Mensch is dat schööön

  • @KarinHermine Dankeschön! :)

  • I'm glad I found you! Very entertaining! Thank you!

  • @awreslr2 Thanks! It's nice to know people are enjoying the stuff I put up!

  • Great voice you got there! I recomend that you make more multitracks! :)

  • Thank you! I will. But it will be a while until my next recording, because I'm very busy with my thesis at the moment.

  • what does tube and berger mean anyway? Is that German or is it a tubeberger?

  • As I said in the description: They are two people, Arndt Rörig and Marco Vidovic, making electronic music. I think "Tube" and "Berger" are their nick names. You can listen to their music at myspace. com/tubeandberger

  • HA! Nice greenscreen!

  • In fact I used a more or less green bed sheet :).

I had a lot of technical difficulties with it because of of amateurish equipment. But I guess it turned out alright.

  • Si the eifell tower exploding in the top right corner or is that just fireworks. ( It looks like an atom bomb is hitting it and exploding continuously with a news reporter standing in front of it :p) lol

  • It's just supposed to be fireworks - not an atom bomb :). The fact that I was singing in different places of the world was supposed to symbolize that Tube & Berger are active everywhere. And I thought that Eiffel Tower shot looks nice, because there is a lot going on in the background.

That serious new reporter look was intended to have a huge contrast to what you hear and what is going on in the background.

  • I like the idea, but why do two frames in the US instead of 1 in Germany?

  • That was initially my idea. But it was much harder than expected to find appropriate background videos.

The problem is the camera has view the object of interest for at least 22 sec and hold still for the whole time. Otherwise it wouldn't work with me standing in front of it (except for something like that boat shot on the Statue of Liberty).

  • I'd give this 10* if it were possible, not only for the singing but the "Gesamtkunstwerk".

  • Haha, thanks!

  • Haha! Great setup, Patrick. And your voice is clear and blends well. Nicely done and a good laugh.

  • Thank you, Julien! Did you like the Paris shot? :)

  • Sometimes I'm forgetful!

Incredibly epic to put you on the moon lol.

Sounded pretty good. The part balance is perfect, perfect amount of bari/tenor. Though I don't see much promise in the "tube and Berger" tag catching on, I hope they use it!

  • Thanks, Josh!

I didn't really expect this tag to be regular sung by Barbershop quartets, LOL. I don't even know if my extension at the middle part (which is Unison in the original) violates any Barbershop rules. There the bari just copies what the lead does one third lower and the tenor/bass are holding the root.

But Tube & Berger told me they occasionally play it on live performances and they plan to use it for a song on their next album. And they embedded this video on their website.

  • This makes me happy! =D

  • Haha, it's nice to know my singing makes people happy :).

  • Wow this is really good! What kind of mic are you using? Because I know how you often say that I need a new mic

  • Thanks!

I'm using a Zoom H4 but I would recommend you to get the successor Zoom H4n. It's not really a microphone, but a mobile multitrack recorder with a nice integrated stereo mic.

It can also be connected to a PC or Mac and be used as a microphone or an audio interface with a good a/d converter to connect XLR/TRS devices.

  • Hahahaha I especially loved the "Berger". Great stuff :)

  • Hehe, cool. Yeah, that part was also the most fun to sing :).

  • Your pronunciation of "Berger" is awesome.

I think your little jingle could be mixed and remixed for years to come!

  • hahah this is great and i thought it was funny haha great tag man

  • Thanks, Ralph! I'm glad you enjoyed it :).

  • Thank you! Yeah, that's probably because I'm taking classical lessons.

  • Haha! NICE!!!!! ringing chords!!!

    oh, nice bowtie bro!!!

  • Thank you! Yeah - it's a way to make people listen to Barberhop music with it's ringing chords!

  • Great job! Ask them to sponsor you now.... =)

  • Thanks, Mike - you bet I will ;)! Well, I hope they will embed this video on their website.

  • Very nice, Patrick. That earthrise shot looks great. I love it.

  • Thanks! The sightseeings are supposed to symbolize that Tube & Berger are active all over the world - even on the moon ;).

  • Oh, okay. I hadn't looked at Tube & Berger's MySpace page yet, so I was trying to figure out the significance of the four backgrounds.

I think your audio tracks sound very clean and crisp in this video.

  • Thanks, they said they liked it very much, too. Hopefully from now on this jingle will be heard occasionally on their international performances in several clubs and discos :).
