  • i was there..oorah. i just got back 2 days ago. big up to the rest of the 22nd meu who are on their way home. we did a good job

  • The military was there first because they had the equipment to make the airfield safe. You also had NO FUEL at an airfield that saw maybe 15 flights a day BEFORE the quake. In the first 48 hours after arriving, the U.S. military coordinated over 600 flights into a damaged airport. Quite an accomplishment.

  • This looks nice, but it also looks too good to be true (that the US spearhead the operation for pure humanitarian).

    I wouldn't be surprised if this video was requested by the US government.

    I do however support the military and hope the operation continues well!

  • First the SGM doesn't say the US is spearheading the operations, he says, "USAID is spearheading the operations". If you don't believe it, check the global news and see what other countries are reporting.

  • I do know that other countries are involved in the effort. I also know that the US military was there first and gave a hard time landing to the following non-american support craft!
