anybody know that Union was the origional game of rugby. played by the upperclass and people in private schools, Leage was developed by the lower classes, the 'plebs' as they were called, because they couldnt afford to join the RFU. not having a dig, just passing knowledge. i couldnt comment on which is better, as i havent ever watched a Leage game...

The New Zealanders have devised their new style of union rugby to try and stop penalty kick conversions. It was sad to see last year's world cup final with only one try. You can see this new style of union in the Super 14s currently. NZ is trying to get the rest of the world to play it's 'rebel' style of rugby too, and it's a lot more fun in my opinion. Don't get me wrong though, I like league a lot too...but it similates american football too much with the number of downs..

The only yawn is League where is virtually ZERO contest for ball.
