The first part really shows off the various tones quite well - the simple playing (I think) helps. I own this pedal and to my ears it's the best analogue chorus I've heard (and I never liked a certain grunge band!). The only letdown is the fragile box and bloomin' loud switch which makes it hard to record with.

I had the vintage small clone about 9 years ago. These went way up in price what with all the cobain fans, I eventually sold it for a whopping $350 before they reissued them, wish I kept it, I can't find any originals now.

But the vintage ones sound 100x better seriously.

Absolutely! The new ones -although acceptable, cannot hold a candle to the vintage ones due to the (now out of production) unique Panasonic RETICON chip used in the original versions. I also had the intention of selling my vintage Small Clone but backed off as all of the RI's I've listened, sounded considerably worse than my original one.

What do i need to get in order to use the chorus pedal and a distortion pedal at the same time, like you are?

Electric guitar -> male-male jack lead -> chorus pedal -> shorter male-male jack lead -> distortion pedal -> male-male jack lead -> amp

All you really need are the two pedals, three jack leads, your guitar and your amp. You can arrange the pedals either way round; I prefer chorus first, it's up to you.

Yup, same thing as guitar-amp lead, two normal ones for the guitar to pedal and pedal to amp, but you might want a short one for connecting the two pedals together
