i bet if you put up to .227 mm clearance between a copper wire coil and that, the magnetic force should be sufficient enough to run an electrical charge.

For those that can't seem to comprehend the colors looing how they do, it's the effect of your camera recording at a certain number of frames per second vs. the revolutions per minute. the camera can only catch so many frames and the tower spins faster than that. Like looking at a car driving on camera, the wheels look like they spin backwards at certain speeds due to the camera running at 24-30fps and the wheels spinning faster, so the camera only catches certain frames giving the illusion.
