I really don't know how to respond to this. It was almost funny, but it was too flippant at the end. People lose their lives crossing into the US thru the desert, and all working people are constantly "on the run" as IMF policies create job scarcity. Illegal immigration is a symptom of failed economic policy dominated by the rich and powerful, and this commercial could be a little more sensitive, take a stand, or show concern for the people who are under fire, both American and Latino.

Many countries in the Western Hemisphere have been treated like resource baskets for US companies. The money spent to keep the resources flowing, whether bananas or beef, largely go to keeping the workers there from forming unions. That may not be the fault of the average American, but it is US economic policy. It creates desperation on both sides.
Would you care to outline some of this in US economic policy somewhere for us? Like some laws on the books, statements from trading partners, representatives, free trade agreements?

The real problem is tax of US corporations in a manner that makes it easier to go elsewhere than to maintain and set up shop here in the US.
