Man, you should practice your instrument more than you are talking. Lean how to seriously play it.

I've been, for a while now, disappointed with the humming nose that my Ibanez SDGR506 produces when the treble-boost is set above 50%.

Fortunately, I purchased 2 brand new Carvin basses BB76P (piezo) and BB76PF (piezo fretless) that are the bomb! There is practically no humming noise, even when the treble-boost is set high. Switch from active to passive, simply with the pull of a button.

Five strings are great. I use the low B to avoid using open notes while staying on a lower octave. Very nice!
