  • really? flips here fight like girls.

  • Great job keeping your live hand involved during the high speed portions! So very important as live / checking hand turns into fine pinpointed attacking snake! {:>

  • Hello... what is the meaning of LSAI? Im hoping sana Lightning Scientific Arnis Inc. kayo... Phil.Dynamic Arnis po kami under sa pamumuno ni Grandmaster Galvarole...Ang galing nyo, sana mas makilala ang mga pinoy sa larangan nang Arnis hindi sa ibang sports. Tangkilikin yung sariling atin.

  • Kamusta, LSAI stands for Lightning Scientific Arnis International, but in this case its Lightning Scientific Arnis - Israel. FMA is really starting to become more popular abroad. Good luck and best wishes to your group.

  • Nice drill sir. In fact these drills sharpen ones reflexes and body coordination. One will surely understand once he reached that level =).

    More Power LSAI

  • Dumachum as kalbossing said it's a drill. It was meant to train a specific skill/attribute.

Everyone else, yes Arnis has unarmed techniques, grapples, kicks yes siree. But first instinct in a Filipino fighter is to gain an unfair advantage. Get something to whack with.

  • I'm thinking of taking filipino martial arts, but I'm wondering is it just weapons training? Is there any grappling or hand strikes?

  • nice dude, but i think you should also do the applications to avoid complcations.. peace ya......

  • wow you guys are Good. Where is this?? Pilipino po ba kayo?

  • Salamat! Oo naman tol! This was a demonstration at the Interdisciplinary Center in Tel-Aviv Israel.

  • Why not simply charge in and fight at extremely close quarters? Hand to hand? Your opponent would have no leverage or power behind his weapon attacks at that range. Unless he was using a small bladed weapon like a dagger or a Katar..

  • Chargeing in would defeat the purpose of the drill. bigay-tama is a drill that emphasizes maintaining an effective distance for the defender to maximize the attributes of the weapon. The "attacker's" role is to give stimulus through a random sequence of strikes (often with feints and some misdirection). The "defender's" role is to read and react to the attack and still stay at the effective range where her weapon is effective. For finishing techniques, other technology is used, like serrada.

  • Can't say I agree with that.

  • Next time use your heels too :)

  • Neta with a skirt? very unusual, but not bad. I hope guro Jon will also come over here in Germany.

  • Oh I miss bigay-tama with Master Jon!

  • bigay-tama with a skirt on?!! that's a first! and that's crazy!

nice video! and nice demonstration guro jon!

  • Haha I didn't plan on demoing that day...I even took my heels off :-P

  • knife sombrada would have been another interesting thing to see with a skirt on... and the heels on too.

  • oh em gee!!
