I have just one linguistic question: How is it gramatically possible to say "six *a* little horses"?

Hey, nice to see you =) I think they added that "a" to be faithful to the way the song sounds. According to a very interesting Lullaby page on Wikipedia, it's "coach and six little horses" which is more correct.

Yeah, it is surely there because they needed the syllable. But if you wrote it in my test, I would mark it as wrong, no matter where you're from! :-) I'm just curious, how come that it even comes to a native speaker's mind? Rather than e.g. "six of little horses", or something like that? Isn't it as if a Spaniard used a wrong suffix? A=1, no? Plus, naturally, you'd never say "a six horses", would you?
