Unfortunatly sony's full parts and labor warrentee expires after 2 years, it comes free with tv purchase as long as you got the tv through an authorized dealer. I've never heard of green blobbing, my screens were pink. My advice check Sony support for your tv and see if there's newer firmware

My 50 inch Sony has the "Green Blob" issue. It is just over 3 yrs old. Today, it began blinking on and off on about a 3 second cycle. Any hope for a replacement by Sony?

I recend my previous statement. If you use a KDS-60A2020, KDS-50A2020 or a KDS-55A2020, your Sony TV is being Recalled! They are fixing the green blobbing free of charge regardless of purchase date.

i think your tv is internally damaged. sell it and get your self a better model or a new brand. Samsung or a panasonic plasma 2nd best plasma before pioneer. i recommend the v10 or the g10 model for the panny.
