Any chance of getting the "Across the Mountains" version from the movie? The slower more powerful version is so much greater than what the soundtrack has.
you have to download a DVDRip version of the movie, and then edit the film on movie maker to keep the portion of the music playing during the closing credits. The slow version is playing after "Eternal Alexander" during the closing credits. i was watching it online, but the uploader didnt keep the last half of the closing credits so I assume the rest can be found on a DVD rip

I think that opening minute and 15 seconds is the best piece of music I've ever heard. It manages to be both mournful and hopeful which a lot of Vangelis music seems able to do. Most of all though it's rousing as hell. Truly music of the gods

In reality, the sounddtrack by Vangelis is the only thing that made me see that movie twice....Oliver Stone goofed up like an amateur breaking into film making! strange!

This bust of Alexander is better looking than Colin Farrell. He and this soundtrack were better than the film.

The opening to this is amazingly haunting and beautiful.
Vangelis really captured the character of Alexander and his accomplishments with his score. Simply amazing.

Alexander would certainly smoke out the likes of Bin Laden. Alexander was known to take a year out or more to chase down bandits, he would keep going and going until he had them, technology cannot get this type of job done, he infiltrated those same rocky landscapes unitl the job was done! but remember Jonty- why are you painting the Taliban as bad? look to the West friend and your answers are there.

Underrated movie. I thought all three versions were terrific. This Alexandria music is the best cue from the movie and I was so bummed out that it wasn't on the released soundtrack. Awesome!

Any chance of getting the "Across the Mountains" version from the movie? The slower more powerful version is so much greater than what the soundtrack has.

The film version of that piece is not featured on bootleg. Just about every other piece is, though.

you have to download a DVDRip version of the movie, and then edit the film on movie maker to keep the portion of the music playing during the closing credits. The slow version is playing after "Eternal Alexander" during the closing credits. i was watching it online, but the uploader didnt keep the last half of the closing credits so I assume the rest can be found on a DVD rip
