It couldn't be rifle shots. That guy was well away from the plaza at the time and pick up firing from where he was. He didn't hear any shots and had no idea what was going till after the shooting. He only knew there was something up when he saw people running up the knoll and the Limo was speeding like crazy.

You must not be aware of the fact that this clip you are playing was proven to be a staged radio re-enactment of the events that took place in Dallas. Those are not gunshots on the recording. The Warren Commission had the clip analyzed, and that was when they discovered that it was staged.
