  • @suchev1 But often considered on the verge of joining Labour, having taken an advisory role in the Labour Government. Notice the wave of cheers from the Labour benches and the restrained congratulations of his Tory peers.

  • @dim432: It does, it comes from Speakers in medieval times were often quite reluctant to do the job as they had the threat of execution hanging over them if they did something to annoy the monarch so the only way to make them take the job was to literally drag them into the chair
