Yes, no one sings Michel's songs like Streisand; not even Sinatra. I'd love to see Barbra sing some of Legrand's lesser known songs on a new CD with just piano. Now that would be perfect. Just piano, because I could not resist her rendition of "Nobody's heart Belongs to Me" from the relatively new DVD. Barbra and piano should be the name of the new album!

Krall plays & produces. ..it's a jazz album. the opening track is "here's to life". she also does the Brel standard "ne me quitte pa". i'm looking forward to it (9/29).

I agree with you! The quartet version of Love is the Answer, is so beautiful, I don't even listen to the full orchestration one. It is just that the sound this woman makes - alone - is just beautiful music. There is no singer out there that can come close to her singing sound - nobody. Barbra - Piano & Legrand would be PERFECT!
