I was 17 when I got diagnosed with sever aplastic animea 0n july 27 2010. I'm still in tratment. I have a youtube video. (Hair cut for tuti ) plz watch it. I know the pain of chemo :) never give up
i am 13 and was diagnosed with severe applastic anemia 9 months ago...still no immune sytem but only 3 more months of weening off my cyclosporine still doing goo though!HAVE HOPE EVERYONE THERE IS A LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL...
I had aplastic anemia 3 years ago and was taking 600 milligrams of cyclosporin a day! I wonder why your dose is so small and you are so much taller than me? I had about 30 blood transfusions in 3 months..... Hope you are feeling better.
please help my 12 year old younger sister, she is diagnosed of aplastic anemia. she needs to undergo platelets apheresis transfusion and it costs around 14,000,00 here in the Philippines. we don't have such large amount of peso. please. help her! contact me. here's my number.. # +639304083533
any amount will be graciously appreciated. she, thus far, prepares for bone marrow aspiration (BMA) Biopsy. please help.!
I have Mild Aplastic anemia. since i was diagnosed 3 years ago, I always undergo blood transfusions every month. thankfully right now I haven't had any blood transfusion for about 8 months now. Still, my platelet counts are low but no need for BT, I am relying now on most importantly prayers, eating fresh fruits and veggies, and also on pills so I won't have my period (it's really hard to have AA for a girl like me because we bleed every month).
I was diagnosed with sevre aplastic anemia too when I was 12 and now I'm 13.
It was a suprise because I was the Australian Judo Champion. My blood was down to 42 and the others I can't remember. I was one of the lucky ones. The first treatment I got worked.
my friend's little sister, JoJo, was just diagnosed with severe aplastic anemia and is in the hospital right now. She's just going into first grade and has to get a bone marrow transplant. Thanks for the video and it gives me hope.
hi grant its your sister laura i have just looked at your site and did not realise how much you went threw in hospital intill i saw your video clips :( if you would like me to make a doner video about the transplant please let me no. i can see this site has helped alot of amazing strong people like your self and id be more than happy to help :) love from laura aka bone marrow doner haha xxxxx
Hi Grant, do u Have ATG? Did u need a cell donor for that? My brother took 16 Neorals per dag 25mg per capsules. It's a lot and I will process his ATG next month when I get home. Is it safe? I thought u had a bone marrow transplant done?
hi grant,my mom just diagnosed with aplastic anemia. She fights back with her illness. She is now relying on blood transfusion and most important is prayers. There is no impossible when god heals.
I was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia in September 2001. I received my ATG treatment and look at me I am still here. I stay positive as much as I can. Life is good, I keep myself busy I don't have time to think about my disease. That's me: White blood cells: 2900 Plateles: 34000. Everything else is normal.
i was aplastic anemia and i was 15 im 16 now atg all it did was make me sweat because i played football without knowing i had. the worse i got the harder i worked. when i was diagnosed people were amazed at my strength. and with atg i had an unseen side effect that caused my blood pressure to go crazy where it was low then it shot to a heart attack. i never gave up. when i first went in i had several cancers fought them all out of my body and people are amaze at my recovery god bless you man
Oh I wanted to add I only have normal Anemia due to my kidney not making the protein needed in aiding red blood cell production. I had a kidney transplant. Man I wish I could have kept my PICC line! That is kinda cool! :) Thanks for posting your vid!
Oh man I HATED Cyclosporine when I was on it! I used to call it the "Skunk Smelling Hotdog Pill" lol! Do they still smell that bad?? I lost my transplant and this transplant I am on different pills! Glad they are much smaller than Cyclo was!!
i have aplastic anemia and i already got the ATG i hated it the side affects were killer now i have a picc line and im getting home schooled but i try to stay as happy as i can im 13 by the way
It's strange and interesting, and obviusly good!!! Normally the ATG turn down the blood cells in the first days of treathment cause the toxicity, but is a great notice, maybe he doesnt need the transplant if the inmunosupresors therapy works fine. And probably the ATG works so fine for the short time between diagnose and aplication. (a excuse for my bad english).
My brother got diagnosed with severe aplastic last january, he was 13 years old...its crazy how similar the paths are between you and him. god bless man and stay positive
Grant, my sister saw your video last night. She is entering the hospitol today to start her chemo therapy. She will have her bone marrow transplant next Thursday. You guys have almost the exact same story. I hope and pray that she does as well as you did. Please keep her in your prayers. Peace. Thank you so much for your videos.

I hope you continue to do well man. My sister has aplastic anemia. She is doing well right now. We are hoping she doesnt have to have a bone marrow transplant. Her name is Aimee
I'm so sorry to hear about your relapse. I also had severe aplastic anemia and underwent ATG/cyclosporine treatment. By the grace of God my counts are all back to normal. I know how difficult dealing with this disease can be. You will be in my prayers. Thank you for this post- we all should try and raise awareness about this awful disease.
Thank you for posting this. I am undergoing ATG for Aplastic Anemia myself, I start this morning in fact. I just posted my first vlog if you want to check it out. I'll try to post it as a video response. I have a thousand questions and would love to discuss this rare disease with you. But for now, thanks for posting this video.
You seem to have your head on straight & look quite healthy now! I'm Josef's mommy...I have a question for you. How did your blood respond to the ATG treatmet the first tme round? ALSO, how long after being normal did your counts drop back to SAA levels? Thanks for all the info! Get better.
