As a result of this massacre, the Ludlow massacre, and others in North America in the late 1800's and early 1900's, a new social contract was formed between workers and business owners. This was called Workers Compensation. If workers gave up the right to sue they would be guaranteed wage loss and medical care for injuries. What they got was lies.
