The backup singers may as well sing their ABC's, they sound quiet, they aren't putting their hearts or lungs into it. This is a classic Rock Song, they need to belt it out!
Great vocals by John as always, superb guitar-playing by Brett...but there was just a little something lacking in the backing vocals. Nothing wrong with the voices; just a little thin-sounding.

lol..I wished Frahnam would have joined Journey or Queen rather than LRB. He would have fit better in those bands rather than messing up classic Little River Band tunes. This guy's ego and singing reminds me of an American Idol who thinks he is a "legend in his own mind". Frahnam belongs in acover bands and as a "replacement" singer type. He should join Posion next.
@lonaticc While I am sure you have regained your sanity by now, I still feel the need to correct you. I have heard some interesting opinions about John before; however, I have never come across a question of his 'ego'. I can assure you that he has no "legend in his own mind" issues, he has no need, his talent and attitude to his fans earned him that status - in the real world - a long time ago. I get that you may not like his music or even his popularity, but his talent you can not question.
Wow, he is just awesome, but man the choir so weak. (just to stay polite :-))
Vocally he would have been awesome for Queen, but let's face it, style and looks vice Paul Rogers fit's better into the Queen image. Having said all this, Freddie is sorely missed. There is just no other!
I can't stop wondering how great other Queen songs like, for example, Save Me, would sound if sung by John Farnham. He would surely be the best choice to replace Freddie Mercury, since his unique style would give all songs a diferent feeling (never better than the original, but amazing on John Farnham's way). Also, John Farnham can improve any song on the stage, sounding sometimes better than a studio version.
If that wasn't enough, this man surely knows entertain the crowd (see other videos), reminds of Freddie Mercury. Sad they chose Paul Rodgesr. Of course he is also an incredible singer, who is doing a good job, but Queen needs more than that.
Brett Garsed plays the opening solo, and Stuart Fraser mostly playing rhythm until later in the song. Brett kicks arse with that nice variation on Brian May's opening solo.
In addition, you can really see how powerful John's voice is in the opening part of the song - notice that for some parts he is holding the microphone at his waist and still sounds loud!
I just received my new copy of this DVD and I am LOVING IT!! John Farnham has one of the greatest voices on this planet! Man I wish he would come back out for a few special appearance/concerts again. He is truly missed!

Well i'm from a Queen tribute band...and i could pick it apart on a music level and a Queen level you can never re-create or re-paint the Mona lisa people. But this was simply brilliant. God that was good.
This song is not done right unless everyone in the audience joins in

John Rock's no matter wat, but do agree with the backing vocales they should of put some effort in to the song...
it sounds pretty dull if they dont put any effort in to there songs of backng tracks...
Farnham Rock's any way.

Brett Garsed plays an ESP custom (actually, I think it's his signature guitar now), not sure about the others.
