  • ellen page's voice in juno, how it had that almost raspy effect to it, pissed me off the whole entire film... the dialogue was over the top trying to make her a sarcastic character... i went to see the movie for michael cera and rainn wilson, who were in the movie combined for like 15 minutes... No Country will win everything and i am happy about that hah

  • PICTURE: there will be blood

  • It's funny that the weakest part of Juno--its screenplay--is the one aspect of the film that's almost guaranteed to win an Oscar. All of the nominated original screenplays, even The Savages, which is my least favorite after Juno deserve it better. And if they're all about awarding a woman (women ARE criminally underrepresented in Hollywood) why not give it to someone like Nancy Oliver for Lars and the Real Girl, who wrote a very good screenplay that could have gone so wrong.

  • I agree with you guys on Juno. If you take out the solid acting, the movie would be unbearable. The screenplay was completely unrealistic. It's unfortunate that critics and audiences think the dialogue is "hip." As disappointing as Juno was, I still preferred it to Michael Clayton. No Country is my favorite of the year, but I wouldn't mind if There Will be Blood wins. The only problem I have with the latter is its bloated runtime (25 mins. could be cut).
