  • cool

  • Damn slow (

  • Wonderful. One can hardly think of a better performance .The 2000 Scala seems shallow and misses the slow tempo the tragedy requires.

  • immense!

  • Which choreographer is this? (I don't recognise it.)

  • @MJLongman It's Yuri Grigorovich ;)

  • @TheBolshoi97 That would explain the title - I did wonder! Ha ha, thank you :) I only know the MacMillan and the Nureyev, and I only know those vaguely.

  • perfect!

  • Bellissima versione

  • the music is beyond cool

  • as usual, the very BEST! huge, spacious, heroic and heraldic--the usual hallmarks of the "Bolshoi" (as they should be). in a totally different league than the "dainty" Royal Ballet" or any other "music box" performance. dont take me wrong: they are great too, but are of a different type altogether. apples and oranges. both good, but different entities.

  • @hotboyclarence

Agreed. The way the dancers converge on each other and gradually fill a portion of this enormous space is breathtaking. It's like watching stormy ocean waves roll in.

  • @hotboyclarence could not have said it better! right on spot

  • I like the Cranko Stuttgart version best. The Royal Ballet chorography is ok but not as good.

  • @repn87 What Royal Ballet? There are many Kingdoms on the Earth...

  • @cives there is only one company on earth called "The Royal Ballet "
