@DiegoIBlanco Good Mr. President Obama is a hostage of the CIA coup d etat, committed in the dark of night, December 31st, 2011: NDAA. @Ethan117100 I'm sure nazis would approve what you just said... No, seriously, there's a lot of people who love liszt's music. It has nothing to do with nationality.
@TheWickedNorth I've been listening to this interpretation for a looong time. This is by far the best I will ever come across. I'm studying music at the moment, and I have just about the whole piece memorized... just trying to make it sound like this boss interpreter. I am fortunate to have the ability to know the piece, I will have this memorized for the rest of my life. My question is WHO IS THIS PIANIST of avant garde nature?
Liszt was said to be the best pianist of all time by many of his contemporaries. Unfortunately we will never know since his era ended before the invention of the phonograph. Of course any such rating could only be subjective, and there can be little doubt that many other critics of that same period held a different opinion. He is said to have played Grieg's concerto in Grieg's presence without a prior reading of the piece, and Grieg himself said that his off the cuff rendition was perfect.
As I sat there in the doctors office.....listening to the fat pig across from me tell me what option I had....I could only find myself drift away and think of better times. Laying on the grass with her.....looking up at the baby blue sky.....

This piece of music always gives me a huge boner. Its almost as if Liszt is using my nether-regions as a portal from the spirit realm - his spirit living on, through my cock,
Does anyone else feel like the dynamics mean this. The softness in the beginning is that first meeting with the person your in love with and everything is fun and great, then you have the hardship (the loud dynamics), then the rekindling and making up with your other, and finally the very soft part at the end is the death of the couple that stayed with each other to the end.
@gtizzle101 I thought of this when I watched "Up!", the bit where you see the old man's life played out - meeting the girl, marrying, life and her death etc. It really reminded me of this, the development of the music around the story is almost a copy. Very moving :)
@gtizzle101 I like this alot. I also feel like those super fast parts are almost like pressing fast forward on a video. Especially between the loud dynamics which could be like marriage and skipping until the death of the couple. Very interesting.
@gtizzle101 i think thats why everyone loves classical music so much though, you make the story behind the song. this song could be a trip to the zoo with your child and you lose them in a crowd. the stories are endless :D
@gtizzle101 I read your interpretation and listented to the song again. This time is was much more beautiful and real. Made me realize how important "background stories" are. Thank you.
Liszt probably had synesthesia, meaning that he assigned colors to certain keys. In fact, he often argued with Rimsky-Korsakov about colors of keys. What color do you think this masterpiece reflects? I'm just curious lol.
I get such a bone when I hear this. I am inclined to believe that Liszt is using my nether regions as a kind of portal from the next realm, his spirit living on - through my cock.
Ha! I didn't know this was a Liszt piece. I should have guessed, though, with all that over-the-top virtuosity... ever the showoff, eh, Franz? Love you, man.
@LeoPirate hahahaha i feel ya on that one! I'm learning it, just about memorized the whole piece, but it is ridiculously difficult to make it sound like this.

Beautiful. I heard it on my phone... Now this... The TRUE splendor... Spectacular. Unbelievable. You know the first comment? Precisely. I salute you, sir. You are a true man of music.
Elvis P. had nothing on Lizst. Lizst was the first 'pop star' in history--a total package of smoldering good looks, lithe figure, melodramatic stage presence &, of course, incredible artistic talent. (Beethoven & Mozart were fine concert artists, of course, but lacked the first 3 qualities). Liszt worked his audiences up into a frenzy--& knowlingly so. Women threw themselves at Liszt & he would throw his hankerchiefs into the audiences where they were torn to pieces by squealing duchesses.
@oodjee Well, you see, I was told that all peices of music are songs, in that instruments are extensions of our voices. At least, that is to my private trombone instructor, and also my current highschool band teacher, who is a trumpet player. I was talking to either of them and I mentioned something as "Not a song, but a peice of music" they both further corrected me, and I am just stating another aspect on a subject that is not set to a line of standards as you are professing. :)
I don't know who told you that all pieces of music are songs, but that's like calling my computer monitor a TV, The definition is simply wrong. Instruments are not extensions to our voices (that would imply that "voice" is the main aspect of all music). Instruments can accompany a voice, and if there's a voice present to SING, it becomes a SONG. Otherwise, it is a piece. Just because your instructors can teach you how to play, does not mean they can't be wrong about anything. Research further :)
@oodjee But you can't deny they are valid opinions on the subject of an art. You do seem to relate to a science having a set of standards to be followed. I mean no hostilities whatsoever.
@tromuniapp - We're not sharing opinions here. Just because art is subjective, it does not mean that the terms used in it are as well. I 'seem' to relate to calling things by its proper name. It's not about science and its sets of standards. It's about proper use of language. "English mothafaka, do you speak it?" I mean no hostilities either, just a Pulp Fiction quote.
It's pretty simple, "song" requires a voice for it to be defined as that, otherwise it's a composition. This isn't an opinion.
@oodjee Are you a fan of great gangster flicks, or are you a well rounded respecter of film and music like me. Do you also happen to be a History buff, cuz that would be wierd :)
@tromuniapp - loll. No, I'm not a history buff, although I have become interested in learning more about it.. just cause the older I get, the more I appreciate knowledge. As for films, yeah I'm well rounded - from Ford Coppola and Scorcese to Kieslowski to Jean-Pierre Jeunet to Wong Kar Wai, to Kubrick, etc.. Same goes for music. But only recently I'm getting more into classical. You? You're still in high-school you said? What do you want to become?
@oodjee Well I am just a freshman but I know it is something to do with Political science and something with film. I absolutley love listening to classical music because I think that classical music along with an orchestra of classical instrments playing music sounds like definitive emotion, if you can understand what I mean. I also look to music in film. Clssical is always the best choice because it can fit any emotion with the most passion. Hymn to the Fallen, Adagio for Strings. sry no mr spc
@tromuniapp - I recommend you watch a film called "Trois Couleurs: Bleu" (Three Colors: Blue"). It is a French film, part of a trilogy (others are White and Red). The music and cinematography in it are hauntingly beautiful. Pure art. The story is about a woman trying to deal with the death of her husband who was a composer, and attempts to finish his last symphony. Zbigniew Preisner is the composer for that film, check him out..
anyone find it disgusting that the generations that are passing, for the majority, are forgetting the music that started everything musically related?
This is called musical orgasm.

there was a time when people made art. today they make money, that's how the cookie crumbles :\

@TinaVukovChannel And some, like Dali, did both. It is possible to make both art and money.

To whoever shall post after me, just remember... IT'S NOT A SONG!! :P
It's a musical composition, or a piece.
oodjee 1 month ago 18

I mean no hostilities whatsoever.
tromuniapp 1 month ago
@tromuniapp - We're not sharing opinions here. Just because art is subjective, it does not mean that the terms used in it are as well. I 'seem' to relate to calling things by its proper name. It's not about science and its sets of standards. It's about proper use of language. "English mothafaka, do you speak it?" I mean no hostilities either, just a Pulp Fiction quote.
It's pretty simple, "song" requires a voice for it to be defined as that, otherwise it's a composition. This isn't an opinion.

@tromuniapp - My major was Film Production, so yes of course :). Awesome film!

@oodjee Are you a fan of great gangster flicks, or are you a well rounded respecter of film and music like me. Do you also happen to be a History buff, cuz that would be wierd :)
tromuniapp 1 month ago
@tromuniapp - loll. No, I'm not a history buff, although I have become interested in learning more about it.. just cause the older I get, the more I appreciate knowledge. As for films, yeah I'm well rounded - from Ford Coppola and Scorcese to Kieslowski to Jean-Pierre Jeunet to Wong Kar Wai, to Kubrick, etc.. Same goes for music. But only recently I'm getting more into classical. You? You're still in high-school you said? What do you want to become?
oodjee 1 month ago
