Pres Obama, what an exciting joy it was to look at my local news in Mi and see you standing in my family's church in DC standing next to my cousin, Cornelius. My great grandmother came to Vt Ave in the late 1920's. 40 years later my uncle became the pastor and now his son. The mere fact of his being able to be elected has around the world reenforced the idea of the USA as a country, a society and an idea of how one uniquely capable man can overcome. I would be very proud of being a citizen of such a country. And enjoy the sincere heartspoken thoughtful and considerate words from the mouth of the number one politician. But that's probably my european prejudice (and disadvantage)....
It's so wonderful to have a President who can intelligently orate and inspire us as a nation. He is right that there is frustration with progress. But I am both comforted and inspired by his message, and that of Dr MLK Jr., that with persistence and dedication we can achieve our goals... both in our own communities and as a nation.

Obama has said exactly what you're saying. The problem lies in two places, the parents of black Americans and the inner city schools. The parents are fine having kids who want to play basketball and rap about getting "dat munneh" when they should be instilling the value of education, and the school systems are total shit. Pres Obama, what an exciting joy it was to look at my local news in Mi and see you standing in my family's church in DC standing next to my cousin, Cornelius. My great grandmother came to Vt Ave in the late 1920's. 40 years later my uncle became the pastor and now his son. Thank you for giving great history to the church and an added memory to our family's history.
